Aquamarine and pearl bracelet help

Hi All,
I haven't spent much time in colored stones, so I was hoping you might be able to assist me. For Christmas this year, I want to buy my mom a 'diamonds by the yard' style bracelet, only instead of diamonds I would like to use 3 aquamarines and 2 pearls (to represent her 3 daughters / 2 sons). I'm undecided as to whether I'd want to use white gold or yellow gold. My question is this: should I purchase this bracelet from American Pearl as-is, or should I try to put together something on my own with a recommended jeweler that has the exact # of stones I want (2 pearls instead of 2)? I'm most interested in getting her a really beautiful keepsake...cost savings is less of a priority. My only restriction would be that I would have to have the bracelet by Christmas. Do you have any vendor recommendations that I should try (or any feedback on American Pearl)?

It might be a bit late to go custom. You could always ask the vendor if they can alter it. I really like the idea, very thoughtful.

Do you think $275 is a reasonable price for this? I'm sort of out of my element here...

I would contact Sally at Hearts of water on Etsy. She did my topaz and pearl bracelet and I"m amazed with her work. She can probably source really nice aquas and pearls.

You can call Jose at Tahitian Pearls dot BIZ, (http://www.tahitianpearls.biz/) we know him over in the pearls forum, he does custom jewelry.

But that's a pretty good price for the gold and all. Might be hard to beat that, maybe 3 pearls is not so bad? I think the aquas are pretty tiny, though, maybe something more proportionate can be done?
