I'm looking for an aquamarine (or other light-medium blue stone - I prefer over the color of standard blue sapphires) eternity ring to commemorate the birth of our son.

I saw another thread about the Tiffany Metro https://www.pricescope.com/communit...rine-metro-ring.152736/#post-2785627#p2785627

http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Ite...+1-c+287466-r+101323354-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+-k+

which, of course, is priced high ($1650) because it's Tiffany. I do have a $275 credit to use (and nothing I really want in that price range) so that would be a reason to get this.

There is also this from Blue Nile for $500: http://www.bluenile.com/aquamarine-eternity-ring_17215?track=si

I've done a search and checked the usual suspects and haven't found anything else. Any suggestions or comments are welcome!!

This company will custom make any of their eternity/stack rings in the stone or metal color you wish. I think you would have to go through your jeweler, however. This is the company we used for my rose gold and light zircon ring, the basic band is in their "Bellisimo" showcase. The stack ring application is fun to play with either way. The rings are, I guess 3/4 eternities as they have a sizing section built in. It took about a week for them to make my ring. It does not say what the light blue stones are but you can request light blue sapphires or aquas if you like. This may be true for any company that makes a ring you like, and does some custom work.

treenbean - thanks, I did check out facets but it appears they only have sapphires.

largosmom - thanks for the link. i am a bit hesitant to go custom because of the inability to try it on before buying and issues with returning custom items.

Even though I also really love the color of good aquamarine, I just have a lot of hesitation about it in a ring because it can be scratched so easily. Sapphire is much harder and more durable. You can get light blue sapphires if you have it custom made.

Just check out the return policies, you may be able to find a lighter one ready made.

Not only do aquas scratch, what is worse is that as they chip like crazy too. Eternity band stones need to be very durable because you're always hitting the stones on things like door knobs, utensils, etc. . . .

Just a quick note on the Tiffany credit - I had credit from returning a wedding gift and had no use for anything else of theirs. I sold it to Cardpool and used the money to buy patio furniture! :)

Ditto to TL's comment that aquas are not very durable to begin with, so having an eternity ring with aquamarines means a higher risk of chipping the stones.
