Aww, poor kitties! I used to give my cat Spooky (black cat with a trace of white on one paw) a bath, and he loved it! Most cats keep themselves very clean, but he was unconcerned with overly bathing himself, so when he would roll around in dirt or leaves I washed him sometimes to get some of the dirt off. He liked it, I swear! He was a strange one.

Is exactly how my Duncan is. I don't bathe them anymore. it was a nightmare and they stopped trusting us as much, which was just too much. We take them to the groomer, once a year for a bath (or if something gross happens, and they need one sooner). We have to be really careful about the groomers though. So many of them only do cats occasssionally and are NOT very good with them.

Otherwise they groom themselves, we brush them, and occassionally rub them down with a damp towel.

None of my kitties like water - or wind, for that matter, they run from the fan and flatten to run under the air conditioner - but they will play in it sometimes if I run the tap in the bathroom.

LMAO! Oh dear! Yeah, they hate it pretty much, but we all have to put up with stuff that we don''t like right? Why should cats get a pass? WE hop when they wiggle a paw, they can tolerate a bath now and then. It''s only fair.

I had a retired show cat, and she was so so good to bathe. She been handled and handled as a kitten, and other than the heaving a very big, disgusted sigh, and shooting daggers, she was totally docile in the bath. (I think they hate it because they know it makes them LOOK so undignified, and cats HATE it when their dignity is compromised in any way) She despised the blow-dryer more. But oh, when she was clean and fluffy, she clearly loved THAT feeling, so I figured she couldn''t hate me too much. I miss my birman baby....I got her when she was 6, had her for 6, and my mom had her for 7. She and my mom bonded like I''ve never seen any two people bond. She was utterly spoiled for 13 of her 19 years....except for the occasional bath!

Aw, poor babies! That''s pretty much how a bath would go with my kitties. I don''t typically bathe my kitties, but a few times I''ve had to partially bathe them because of some *ahem* issues in their pants. (I call their fluffy hind leg fur pants or hammer pants.)

One of my kitties freaked out so much the last time I washed her pants that she bit my then-fiance really hard on the hand (he was holding, I was washing) and then didn''t like him for months. So from now on, she gets her fluffy hammer pants cut right off if she manages to get stuff stuck in them again! No more baths for her!

Our cat must be weird because she loves water. She has actually jumped in the shower and will jump in the bathtub when I''m filling it. Here''s a pic of her playing with her toys in the tub. Not sure if she''d really enjoy being bathed though. I don''t think I want to find out.
