Are the fingers of one of your hands bigger than the other?

I assume this is quite common since you use one hand more. The ring finger of my right hand is at least 1.5 larger than my engagement ring finger... grrrrrr!!!! This means I probably won''t be able to switch my wedding band (eternity or 5 stone) back and forth between left and right hand...

Anyone else have this problem? I''m so jealous of the ladies who can blithely decide one day to switch their rings to the other hand... I have to get rings sized for ONE hand or the OTHER -- only a PSer who think this is a tragedy!

Yeah, I have this problem. I also lost some weight so that doesn''t help much. I''ve decided that in the winter, I simply have to wear my rings on my right hand due to cold "shrinkage". The fingers on my left hand have gotten so skinny that, were it not for my knuckle, my rings would have gone flying off on more than one occasion.

I know...this has become an "issue" for me when most wouldn''t give it a second thought! It''s ok, Gleam, we understand.

Yupe, for me it is also about 1.5 sizes. The good news is that if you get a ring sized for your right hand you can wear it on your left when you are pregnant

Yes, my right is a little larger. I can wear one ring at a time on the right, but I can''t stack bc they get too tight.

I definitely do not like the fact that my RH is bigger than my LH. The RH size is 4.75-5 and the left is 4.25-4.50. These sizes go up and down a little, depending on the weather, humidity, my weight (including my salt intake - it makes me bloated), but I cannot or rather should not switch my rings around. When I do wear my RHR on my LH, I wear a thin eternity on the outside to stop the RHR from slipping off.

My left hand ring finger is a 7.25
My right hand ring finger is a 8.25-8.5

So about a size and a quarter difference.

L is 3.5-4, R is 4-4.5 depending on band thickness.

Same problem here. My left is a 6 and my right is a 7!

my right is a hair bigger, but I can switch rings back and forth still.

My right ring finger has a smaller knuckle that my left so I can wear a smaller ring on that hand.

I have this problem too. My right hand is about 3/4 of a size larger than my left. I envy those women who can switch their rings from one hand to the other :-(.

I''m right handed and my right ring finger is a 5.5 while my left ring finger is a 5.0. The problems are my knuckles. My actual fingers are the same shapes, the darn knuckles are just more knuckley.

We did a poll thread several months ago and found that with only one or two exceptions, folks right hands were slightly larger than the left, regardless of "handedness." Weird?

Yes! I have kind of large knuckles and they seem to vary from hand to hand even though with my hands held up together you can''t tell. On my ring finger I''m a 5.5 and on the rhr finger on my other hand I''m a 6.5.

I''m jealous of those who can wear the same size on different fingers too.

Yup. I''m lopsided.

Yup, left is a 7 and right is closer to an 8. I am left handed, but I think it is pretty true for most people that the left is smaller than the right.

Add me to the list my right hand is a full size larger. When I gained weight my fat fingered rings could only go on my old skinny finger. Now all my fingers are bloated and chunky. Which is why I don''t pOost hand shots

Mine are only about half a size difference so I happily switch back and forth for most of my rings.

mine 1/4 size difference, for slim shanks

yes, mine are also about 1/4-1/2 size different, my dominant hand is actually larger

My right hand is a 7, and my left is a 6.5. I can wear the 7s on my left hand, but often buy rings in 6.75 so I can wear on either.

Same thing, right hand rings are larger, close to 1 full size

I don''t know the size difference but my right hand is definitely larger than my left. I''m wearing my RHR on my left now cos I''ve put on weight. At least it''s enough motivation for me to try to lose weight so as to wear it on my right hand again.

The last time I checked, my left ring finger is size 2.5 and right ring finger size 3, which is only a .5 difference, but I am really sensitive about ring size. If they are even slightly too tight, I feel uncomfortable. If they''re slightly too loose, I get worried that they''ll fall off and that I won''t notice.

I''m not yet engaged, but I do wear a promise ring with a small diamond on my left hand that I''d like to wear as RHR stacked between two eternity bands eventually, and wear my ering and plain wedding band on my left hand. I''d like to be able to switch things up and wear either one or both eternity bands with my ering, but I''m not sure if that would be possible with my ring size sensitivity.

The only thing that I''ve thought of that may be of use is that I could wear my ering above the slightly larger eternity bands. Since my ering will be sized perfectly, it will prevent the eternity bands from sliding around or falling off.

Mine are the same sizes!

I like my rings to be pretty tight-fitting, so there is no way my rings I wear on my left hand will fit on my right.

I think I have about a 1/2 size difference, with the right being bigger than the left.

Mine were a teeny bit different- 1/4 size maybe- but after I lost some weight and my finger size changed they''re basically the same size. I can''t tell a difference at all anymore.

Actually I got a good quality metal ring sizer for work and realized that the old plastic one we had was measuring rings inaccurately, rather drastically in fact. I thought my rings were size 5.5 and 5 respectively- actually, it turns out the ring that fits me properly is a 4 1/2, and the loose fitting one is a 5.

Misery loves company.

I''m glad to see I''m not the only one with this problem!

Wahh, I wish I could just easily switch rings my on hands! Alas, RHRs will have to stay RHRs, and LHRs will have to stay LHRs.

The fingers on my right hand are on average 0.75 larger than my left hand. However, the fingers on my left hand are a lot longer than my right

I''m right handed btw - I''d like to think that all that dilligent studying and writing when I was younger stunted my right hand''s growth

I have a slight difference in size, but nothing so large that I can''t switch rings around. Maybe half a size of difference.

I played a lot of piano in the past, so I guess I exercised both sides relatively equally growing up. :)
