are you getting your nails done for the big day?

A friend of mine went natural for her wedding because he was afraid that if she got a French manicure, it would chip before the wedding and look terrible. She had a manicure to shape her nails and had a clear coat of polish painted on. I think some people can get away with that, but it did not look right on her. Her nails were not a major focus of the wedding anyway and she was happy with them, which was all that mattered. They were well manicured, so they did not look bad, however, they did not look finished to me with just a clear coat.

As for me, I will decide when time gets closer, as my nails can look good natural. However, if my nails look bad, I am going to have either a French done or a neutral shade of pink.

yes, I''ll be doing a complimentary (given by FI) a 1hr mani (light natural pink nail polish), pedi (red polish matching my chinese gown) plus a 1 1/2 hr full body wrap 2 days before my wedding (which is next sat) @ Hyatt Stillwater Spa

hehe.... I''m lucky that he is "attention to detail"

I dropped some subtle hints to him last week like "the hot weather is cracking up my skin"..... and he knew it right away....

Apparently my mother is going to arrange for me to have my nails done professionally for the big day. It will just be a shape and polish job though because I refuse to wear false nails of any description.

My nails are usually short but I am trying to grow them out just a little for the ceremony to make my hands look more feminine and pretty for the handshot photos!

I''m a very lucky woman...

I hope your FI will treat you to a full Spa treatment too because I think all bride-to-be need a spa treatment to relax and look stunning on the big day.

I am most definitely getting a mani/pedi, probably by no other than my FMIL since she runs her own business in her home town! I am hoping her one contribution to this wedding will be her services to all my girls, but we shall see. *Sigh*
