No I am not happy, not in my personal life nor in my job, life kinda sucks right now

Just saw this post. I am sorry you are so unhappy. Sending big hugs.

I''m not 100% happy no. To be so, I''d have to be working on a horse farm, managing a barn, massaging horses, training horses, SOMETHING like that. I''d also need to be financially stable enough to pay all the bills and afford to share a mortgage payment with SO so we can get our own place. I also feel very off about my situation of friends. I can count a total of one friend that I feel extremely close with. I''ve known her most of my life. I have two other girlfriends who I am building relationships with, and another girlfriend who I am rebuilding a relationship with after a lapse of two years while she was in school (she was in architecture and we both agreed she needed to focus on that more than riding horses and hanging with me lol). Otherwise, I feel I don''t have many friends, and would really like to make some new friends. One girlfriend is definitely helping me to meet other friends, so that is nice of her. I also feel the crunch of time on many days, wishing I could ride, paint, read, work full time, garden every day, work out, cook, bake, and do photography is not always realistic, I''d like to have more me time.

I AM taking steps to move towards that which makes me happIER. I''m starting school to go back and get my animal sciences degree as well as do my Vet Tech program (since some states are now requiring this for equine massage therapy). I just got a promotion at work, which will give me experience with accounting and shipping things, which will be good for barn management. It also helps me move closer to being able to get that mortgage done :) . Most of my small debts are paid off (small loan from family to start my independent sales business, and my jeep which is a minor monthly payment) or close to being paid off. My monthly bills are manageable. I AM living with my grandparents and SO is there with me right now, but we pay rent and help buy our groceries, and help with yard and house work to help make up for it. The main reason for this is we live in a College town and we have the choice of living with roommates for a minor amount and dealing with parties and loudness, or paying a ridiculous amount of rent for a house or larger apartment, which in the end we could be using towards payments on our own place instead. With property down in pricing I''d rather save up the amount of the down payment for land, and get our own land to build on instead. So we have a plan there. I have my two horses, one of which is in training, and my puppy and my fish and a hog, which all keep me busy animal wise and aren''t such large bills that we can''t afford care (including normal farrier and vet for horses and all animals, those are ALL always taken care of no matter what). SO is happy and is about to start in a new job, making more money, and doing something that will build towards his long term goal of owning his own landscaping business. I get along with my family, including mom, sister, aunt and grandmother who are like my best friends. I have started MAKING time for myself , getting in a ride at least two to three times a week, lunging my horse every morning, taking care of my gardens every other morning, working out in the evenings, and the only thing missing for me is painting, as I do photography when I go on trips (makes it more exotic). Also I''ve lost 28 lbs since January which is making me happy.

So I like to think I"m taking positive steps consistently towards the things I want to make me happy

I think making progress towards a pre set goal is one of the most telling signs of success. Keep up the good work, and set bigger goals
