Argyle 2012 Tender Diamonds

Perth, Australia--A total of 56 pink diamonds, including two reds, and a “Once in a Blue Moon” collection of cerulean-hued stones are part of Rio Tinto’s Argyle Pink Diamonds Tender this year.

The Perth-based mining company announced the launch of its touring tender on Monday. The annual sale gives Rio Tinto an opportunity to showcase the natural color diamonds from its Argyle Diamond Mine in Western Australia, which produces nearly all of the world’s pink diamonds as well as some blue diamonds.

The 75 diamonds in this year’s tender, comprised of the 56 pink and 19 blue diamonds, which were collected over a period of two years, will make stops in Perth, Hong Kong and London before bids close on Oct. 15.

The stones are amazing. Just amazing. I'd do windows not only in this, but also in afterlife. Clean kitty litter, too.
Especially the large pink one. I was clicking on your links and it was everywhere, amazing stone!

I saw this on the news the other night and actually though of you, kenny! They showed closeup footage of the Siren - my my, she is delish.

I read this yesterday and immediately looked all over PS for your thread, Kenny, knowing that you would start one immediately. I can't believe it took this long for you!

I was amazed on a few levels 1) still, even though production is almost depleted, they pulled out two huge, amazingly rare purplish pinks, one a fancy vivid and both of them gorgeously cut stones; 2) the blues! Nothing more to say - amazing. Not slightly blue, but true light blue.

Okay, Kenny, I'm starting to drink the Argyle Koolaid :lickout:

I love these grouping of FCDs which range from gorgeous pinks to just right blues that are not too dark and not too gray. I was hoping Kenny or some other FCD lover would start a thread here on this and he stepped up to it. Simply beautiful!

OMG- I am seriously drooling!

the blue from argyle are very nice as well

I'm wondering how much it cost for the heart shape blue 0.33c, it looks like fancy intense blue in that picture.
USD $60000-$70000 ? reasonable guess ?

Does anyone want to buy these six diamonds for me?

I'll do windows forever.

You forget Kenny, people around here do not like windows. ;)

LOL!
Oh, I'll clean your all of your deep gems too.

I'm dying to see more pics, especially of the two reds, all of those blues and that violet.
I wonder if it's pure violet or has some gray.

I wish Argyle was not so secretive about the Tender stones.
But then, perhaps those who can afford such things associate the secrecy with security and exclusivity.
