I would like to share my new ring, courtesy of the dream team that is @Rhino of Distinctive Gems and David Klass. I knew I wanted an Art Deco-inspired ring. Initially, I ordered an August Vintage emerald-cut lab stone but a few days later, saw Rhino’s Instagram post about his new Asscher cut. I was immediately smitten and asked if we could change my order, which Rhino graciously agreed to (even though there was a slight chance his team may have already started on the emerald cut). The Asscher is a 1.29, F, VVS2 lab-created diamond. You can see it in all its glory here: https://api1.v360.in/viewer/265_LGAVASS129FVVS2
The stone was sent to David Klass who also made a lab diamond band. (I wanted a tiny gap between the two.) I adore target rings and thought a bezeled ring would be an easy-to-wear style, eliminating the nagging worry about whether I’ve dinged it. The ring is set low (only 4.95 mm high) and the craftsmanship is just exquisite (such fine milgrain and beautiful engraving!). The side stones are carre cut lab diamonds and the sapphires are earth-mined. I am over the moon!

In terms of process, both vendors were a joy to work with. Everything was just so easy. After David finalized the CADs, he offered to send me models of the rings. I didn’t expect this step and it was wonderful as it allowed me to confirm that I loved the designs. (My kids immediately guessed they had been produced by a 3D printer, which they found very cool.)
I am so grateful for the artistry of these two vendors!
