I see your point completely Gypsy. Might as well get the best that I can in my budget. I'll find out tomorrow if I have her ring size right. I bought her a cheesy 'I love you' ring from Tiffany's . $150 to find out if a 4.5 is her actual size..... clever, huh? I'm pulling the trigger sometime next week on the purchase. Thanks again for everything.

I also think the D diamond is the best buy. I am almost surprised it hasn't been snatched up already! If it is in budget, I certainly do like the Truth setting better. I just pointed out the other because of the lower cost. It may be plain, but it isn't really a temp setting. That was the typical, normal solitaire setting way back in the day when I got married, and I know many people who still wear those yellow gold solitaires back from the late 70's! So they do last!
