I decided to get the 1.01 E VS1... I saw it in JA's office and it was awesome. I compared it to the "better cut" 1.12 F SI1, and I actually liked the cut of the 1.01 better. Much more small and medium flashes when I moved it. Wider corners too. CH was fine. Hopefully this one will stick! I think it will. Pictures and specs for those interested are here:

My girlfriend really likes a cross-prong setting with a moderately thick band. She thinks narrow bands look weird on her finger. I went with this setting in platinum:

Much like a Vatche X-prong, but it has straighter lines, doesn't sweep up slightly to the diamond, and doesn't taper towards the bottom. I seem to like JA's better. I hope it looks good and doesn't dwarf the stone.
