I have to second Pebbles comments in regards to the narrowness of the shank. I used to have that mounting (but with the 6 prong for a round stone) and the shank is very narrow. I think you will be really happy with it the way it is. Did you get the band that is notched to fit with it?

Thanks so much! I think it is the most gorgeous ring in the entire world but I may be a little biased

. I was wondering about how it would sparkle and it has far exceeded my expectations. Tons of white and colored light. It has been a little hard paying attention in class because it looks amazing in the chemistry building lighting, although the biotechnology building doesn''t have quite as good lighting. I just love it and being engaged is amazing... it is going to suck when exams pull us back to reality but right now we are living it up as fiancés. I just can''t thank PS enough for helping us find this amazing ring!
