Lauren, I don''t have any profile shots yet but will take some when we are back in town. I''m checking my email from the hotel in Anaheim...my kids are bouncing off of the walls waiting for Disneyland to open at 10am!

We''ll go home to San Francisco wednesday so I''ll post some later this week...

Thanks again, guys!

Wallermama found hers with Isaac at Dimend Scassi.

My fiance found mine at WF.

Oh, you''re a fellow San Franciscan! Do you live on Waller Street? :)

I adore your set! It''s so clean, modern, and that is a heckuva white stunner of a stone! It is really refreshing to see something as unique yet simple as your set. I love the flat bands, by the way! Congrats!!!

That is really a stunning set.

So clean and classy!

And I almost never comment on women''s rings.

I love the stone! And the setting is so classic but modern, love it!

Wallermama - In your post you say that your e-ring is altered on one side to sit flush - how is that done and can it be done to any ring?? Anyone??? ;-)

I''m back from a rainy and exhausting trip to Disneyland. Got home with three tired kids at 12:05am!

Silly me...it was like a ring''s trip to Disneyland. Look at the sparkle in the dark lighting of Indiana Jones! And under the lights in Peter Pan! Oooh...doesn''t it look great in the line to Space Mountain!

Kristy, Yep, I''m in SF on Waller St! Where are you?

As for the ring sitting flush, I''ll post pics soon but Isaac makes sure that any e-ring he sells can fit flush with any wedding band, if you want it to. Whenever a jeweler does that you have to alter either the wedding band (notch or curve etc) or the engagement ring. Isaac believes (as do I) that a wedding band should always be able to stand alone, so he changes the e-ring a little on one side. While on one side the prongs protrude a little at the base of the ring, on the other side they are smoothed out at the base. So the little parts that would make a wedding band not sit flush are changed. Since I am already married, I will never ever wear an e-ring without a band, but I will wear a band without an e-ring. So I''d rather have the sacrifice on the e-ring, if that makes sense.

The drawbacks are that if you are newly engaged, your fiance needs to be thinking about the band when the ring is being made, unless it can be altered after the fact (I don''t know). Also, if you are wearing the ering alone, if someone really really looked from side they could see that it isn''t symmetrical on both sides. But I put the ring on solo and can honestly say no one would notice unless they looked.

Anyway, that is the story on that!

Pics will come...that whole thing will make sense then.

And thanks again for everyone''s kind works!

Also, I forgot to answer...

Yes, I got both the diamond and the ring from Isaac at Dimend Scaasi. But the diamond was a "virtual diamond" listed on pricescope and various PS vendors. I got some prices and then took them to Isaac. I loved this ring''s design and thought I''d give him (the designer) a chance to match prices rather than custom make something similar elsewhere. When he did, he got my business. He called it in immediately.

But beyond similar prices, he got my business because from the minute I clicked on the "Live Chat" button on his website, he (the owner) answered me and my questions right then through IM. No waiting several days for an initial response, no waiting for further info, no waiting for the diamond guy to talk to the ring guy, etc. Once I decided what I wanted, I needed a sales person who was as hot to trot as me. And that is what I got from Isaac. I knew what diamond I wanted and what setting and from the minute I talked to him until the time I said, "Let''s do it" was about twenty minutes tops.

The next day I saw the diamond live over their website, and poof we were done!

I am very pleased with their service.

..."three kids and a mommy attire of khakis and stained t-shirts, mac-n-cheese stuck in the prongs, etc"

HAAAAAAAA! So true! When I was looking at my setting my friend said "Now imagine it covered in dog slobber and Dorito dust. Do you still like it?" I did & still do!

NOW!! Down to biz-ness. HOW DID I MISS THIS THREAD? I'm NEVER going away for the weekend again! GORGEOUS!!!

Thank you for the reply and the reference to your designer - I feel the same as you re wanting the wedding band to be able to stand alone. Perhaps I will contact Isaac and see if he can change mine after the fact. Thanks!!
