I read in another thread somewhere that you previously owned the AVC 1.3 J SI1 that is available at GOG. I am seriously considering this stone, and just wanted to know if you could give me any additional information about it since I can't go see it in person. I am most concerned with the J color - is the yellow very noticeable? How does it face up? Are the inclusions eye clean? I'd really appreciate any info you could give me. Thanks SO much!!!!

I''m not Shimmer.

However, I do own a AVC J SI1, I wasn''t able to go and look at the AVC''s at GOG either. My J is beautiful, and I wouldn''t say it is yellow, from the top down it faces up white ! The very slight tint in it (be assured it is only very slight) appears in it when looking at it from the sides and this is only in certain lighting. I wanted the SI1 I chose to be completely eye clean from any distance without using a loupe, so I checked this with Jonathan and he assured me it was. Upon receiving my diamond I checked it out using my loupe and haven''t been able to find any inclusions, despite checking it a few times since. I also own a ''D'' and ''E'' diamonds and have compared them both to my J, the only difference is a hint of warmth in the J.

Hi!

Just saw this, I have to be quick as I'm headed out...

Like I said earlier, this stone is stunning, I could have kept it forever! Alas, it was too large for my lifestyle (*runs and hides*) so that is why I gave it up, with a very heavy heart indeed.

The J color is not *that* noticeable, I could only notice it from the sides against a white background, or from the top when next to my F/G color ACA diamond band. I had an L before this that I noticed the color all the time, this one is far closer to my ACA round I-color stone.

The inclusions are not visible, and I couldn't find them with a 10x loupe either

I hate to be repetitive, but this stone is sooooo gorgeous that any color is masked by ginormous flashes of fire 99% of the time. It really is a special stone, I would buy it again in a heart beat. It's beauty really offsets the color.

I really hope you get it and love it as much as I do

No, sorry I don''t. The setting I used for my stones was the Gabriel WER 4181.

Here are some pics, I had it in the Scott Kay setting, which is ssssooooo nice (except for the prongs, but that was the jeweler''s fault). I could see so much of the stone and it was the perfect height that it looked HUGE compared to the 4 prong tiffany I had it in before. I think it is my all-time favorite solitaire

No clue on the setting yet, but most likely just a simple solitaire because it deserves it!!
I''m just going to have them mail the loose diamond, because I have no patience whatsoever and I need it in my hands NOW!
Then the setting search will begin!

I know, right? I compared it to some other cushion dimensions, and realized it faces up like some of the 1.5ct AV cushions (of course, depends on the stone)! This stone is an amazing deal, IMO. Futuremrstildsley, I can''t wait for you to get it
