August Vintage vs. Fred Leighton

Hey everyone! I got the diamond in this past week. I am excited about the stone. Pictures as promised below and I would love to hear any thoughts you have! :)

I am thinking about a setting now and what to get. I like the golden undertone the stone has but I also like how it appears closer to white in certain lighting too. It is a bit of a chameleon which I like a lot so far.

In terms of the setting, I don't know how a basket (or partial basket) would affect the optics (if at all). I also think a gold band would complement the color well but I am not 100% sure on that either or what karat of gold would be best. Any thoughts on the setting would also be super helpful! I would love to hear your personal experiences.

Thank you! :)

Beautiful!!! Congratulations!

Thank you sooooooooooooooo much everyone! I love being a part of this community and seeing everyone else's amazing stones. You all inspired me to look for one and I cannot thank you enough :)

Beautiful colors in that stone! I love how its peachiness enhances the pastel fire. Speaking of peachiness, for your setting you might even consider some alloys that are a blend of yellow and rose gold (some 50:50 blends are called “peach gold”). Some “antique gold“ alloys also seem to have a smidge more copper content too. I believe @meely might have a lovely peach gold setting from DK housing an N color antique cushion diamond https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/rose-gold.265526/post-4963305

What are the differences between the Fred Leighton round (https://www.fredleighton.com/fred-leighton-round-diamond/) and the August vintage round (https://www.distinctivegem.com/pages/the-august-vintage-european-cut)?

both look stunning to me and I am looking to purchase a round OEC style cut. So I am researching the different ones out there. :)

Are there any other OEC like cuts which are similar to these that I should look into as well? Thank you all!

The Fred Leighton is a fine cut
