AVC - Charmypoo and all AVC lovers

Hi Charmy, and all AVC lovers.

All this time I have been thinking I want an 8 main modern brilliant cushion. But I wonder if I have "charmypoo syndrome"... which means falling in love with the 8 main modern before ever seeing an AVC in person. Do AVC''s ever show square or do they look mostly rounded or oval?

Is there a show me your AVC thread? Charmy, since you have had the good fortune to own both, do you have a picture of your AVC yet? I keep looking at your 8 main and thinking, I wonder what could to be better than that?! I think it is gorgeous.

I realize it is a personal preference, but I just want to make sure I am truly making the right choice.

I think there is a show me your AVC thread over at Show Me Your Ring - I can't remember but I will try looking for you.

I understand it is very difficult to make a decision without seeing it in real life. Before I made my choice, I spoke to another PSer who I know has upgraded her modern cushion for a AVC. She had zero regrets which made my decision easier.

The 8 main modern and AVC have a slightly different outline although some of the AVC are very very close. To be honest, once you set them - you won't be able to tell much of a difference between the slightly rounder outline. I think most people actually like the rounder lines but I am one that likes the outline of the 8 main modern. I find the square H&A too square.

I just went through the photos I took when I went to GOG. I happened to have a photo of the AVC with my Modern Cushion. It''s a horrible photo though - the Modern Cushion is out of focus and the AVC looks yellow even though it is an E. Anyways, thought it is better than nothing.

Not yet - I have been trying to find some time to go to NYC to see Leon .. but way too busy lately.
