Hey there, just thought I'd post this here and get your opinion on how it turned out. Totally love it myself! Some more info on my little mission to get this ring here https://www.pricescope.com/forum/rockytalky/got-my-rings-t149690.htm Here is the diamond in question http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6821 , 2.015ct E colour VS2.

My camera is a bit crap really and I did compress the pictures down a bit so sorry if the quality isn't great!

Am in a bit of a rush so will try to post later (if pricescope works at home!), thanks.

Beautiful! LOVE LOVE LOVE those claws!

Blimey that was quick :P Thanks for your kind words, those claws do look amazing. In real life you can see them but I hate how some prongs overpower the diamond, these ones are noticeable but blend in perfectly as well

Beautiful!

Can I ask what the shank width is? And did leon set it as low as possible?

Sorry will post more details later, need to run off now!

The engagement ring is a 2mm wide shank and the wedding band is a 2.5mm band. Engagement ring has full cut diamonds and the wedding band has single cut. She wanted the wedding band to be thicker and ignoring the main diamond stand out a bit more hence why there is a difference, they do look nice together. I think 2mm is a good width for the engagement ring, for her that is spot on and looks right on her.

Also yes Leon did set the diamond as low as possible, the other half hates diamonds which stick out loads from her finger so she wanted something to sit low and she is quite pleased how it came out.

Just gorgeous!!!! :appl: :naughty: What's the 3rd ring? NOT sure if you described it - perhaps I missed it.

Yeeeeeee! Excellent. I think the 3rd ring is a spacer to protect the ering from the wedding band. Gorgeous how he millegrained that.

Another masterpiece.

Leon + August Vintage = Awesome :appl:

Woooo, how beautiful   Lucky lady!

beautiful!!!! do you have more pics??? I would love to see the detail on the basket :)

Gorgeous!!!!!!!

BEAUTIFUL!!! How great that you got a spacer too (I'm considering that also but undecided still) - is the spacer the same height (i.e. off the finger) as both the wedding band and e-ring? Do you know the width of the spacer?

You did an amazing job -I hope this is only the start of the photos.

Good Lord, Leon's mushroom pave' is just about as perfect as it gets! Look at those petite little prongs. All the same shape. Nothing bent or cock-eyed. His work constantly amazes me. I think the whole set is all any woman can hope for. Dreaming ..... done- check!

Applause!

Stunning!!

Perfection!! :appl:

Love it love it love it! Congratulations, his work is truely exquisite! :appl:

Gorgeous! I love them all!

Some more pics here, tried to get some more of the engagement ring but it is really hard due to the light. Took these in my bathroom!

I'm afraid these might be some of the last as I'm going to give her the ring tomorrow, she lives away from me unfortunately so maybe no more pics for a while, sorry!

Thanks again for all the wonderful comments, seeing as you guys really helped me make these rings a reality it’s only fair that I share the end product with you guys!

Prob same size as engagement ring but slightly less than wedding band. Both the engagement ring and wedding band don't sit flush, mainly due to the basket being low but prevents them rubbing each other and causing damage. Leon did tell me how wide the spacer was but I honestly don't remember. It is actually tapered, so at the base it is wider and gets thinner towards the edge.

Absolutely fabulous on all counts!!!! I adore that fine knife edge band!!

All your rings are amazing. I really like the fine knife-edge w/millegrain. Congratulations! :appl:

Thanks for the additional pix - it's so beautiful! Love how the spacer acts like a mirror reflecting the diamonds of the wedding band. Also, I love the way a small gap bettwen e-ring and w-band looks - seems to set the stone off more or something. It's heartening that Leon was willing to make you the spacer and pave rings knowing your other half will wear them together (sometimes I hear so many stories about Leon's mercurial temperament it makes me hesitant to ask for anything he might disapprove of - should he even deign to set my diamond in the first place!)

Anyway, just lovely - can't wait to see handshots eventually!

Thanks again for all your kind words :)

Think I forgot to mention I have shown the other half both of them and she really likes them, to her the wedding band has more meaning and she totally loves it, she really likes the engagement ring but can't stop talking about the wedding band! She really likes it a lot, we saw one at De Beers which was white gold and she liked but seemed quite dark whereas this one is a lot brighter and I reckon more sparkly. Also made out of platinum as well and worked out cheaper buying it from Leon than them, I'd be willing to place a bet his quality of work is higher than theirs as well!

A bit weird as the spacer kind touches the basket of the engagement ring so I wouldn't say this solution is perfect but I think it will do the job just fine. Leon did suggest having rings on different fingers and I told him she would never agree to that so he found a solution for it, he did joke about and was like I know what women are like, I'm married myself! I remember him saying it was becoming quite popular having a spacer and he had a few different rings all with spacers. I think the problem might be down to how low I've had the diamond set but she really didn't want that diamond to stick off a lot. Like I've said in my thread on RockyTalk I don't know where people got this impression that Leon is so rude and hard to work with. Maybe they caught him on a bad day but the guy was nothing but helpful from day one to me, also I wasn't going too far off what he has made and he does offer an opinion as to whether he likes your idea or not. I went in with quite an open mind and I wasn't insisting on anything, I told him what I was looking for and he made it happen. For example the design on the basket I left to him and just said make whatever you like for me. He said he would not recommend single cuts on my engagement ring as the diamonds would be quite big due to a single row and they wouldn't look right so I went with his advice. I told him how I wanted the bands thicker and he said over 2mm on the engagement ring he wouldn't like but 2.5mm on three band pave he said would definitely work and he said definitely to go with single cut. They both give off a very different look (engagement ring has lots of little sparkles whereas the wedding band has big flashes and at some angles some diamonds don't reflect whereas the full cut ones always seem to reflect). They both look spot on so his advice was right.

As long as you talk to him and are friendly and take his advice on board I think you should be ok. Maybe he gets funny with people who start pushing things on him, I mean in our first conversation he was like you tell me what you want, if you want the diamond upside down I'll set it for you! At the end of the day when you buy a ring from him it does have his look to it and maybe he doesn't want to copy others. He wasn't too happy at first that I bought the diamond from GOG but when he saw it did say he did say it was very pretty and seemed to like it.

   just gorgeous.

spectacular ~ congratulations :wavey:
