AVC in a Leon setting

I love your ring, and you have a spacer very similar to the one I had Leon make for my set. At first, I wasn't all that crazy
about it. It was entirely different than I thought it was going to be. After wearing it for a few months, I am so happy that I went
for it! Mine has a little curve in it for the basket of my ring, but the same teeny tiny milgrain which I find so fascinating to look
at. If I have my contacts in, I can't even really tell the milgrain is there! The spacer is a tiny bit scratched but still looks great!

Ruup - thanks for sharing more about how it was to work with Leon - every tidbit I hear anywhere on PS is enlightening.

This - in part - is what worries me that he's going to refuse to accept my diamond:

Did you have your AVC before you sent in a quote request for your ring? (I made the mistake of sending a quote mentioning that I was planning to get an AVC, since I knew he'd worked with them and knew their character - and he phoned me up same day saying he was dismayed that I was considering GOG, a direct competitor, etc etc... very awkward first communication for me, which is partly why I'm a little gunshy :sick: ).

Anyway, don't want this to devolve into a Leon psychoanalysis/strategy thread. Your rings are stunning :love: , and thank you for sharing your process and experience in such thoughtful detail. :appl:

I got the diamond first, spoke to him after and then he was at first like you should of got it from me and this and that, how I probably paid a premium for it. He was a bit funny at first but I was like look I've bought it I didn't even know he could source diamonds so he did aknowledge that he only started doing that a little while ago, so I told him I was under the impression that he just made rings. After that he was fine and once I sent him the diamond he said he really liked it and was pretty and didn't bring it up again. Once you are past that he should be ok, just tell him that is the one you or your partner really likes and have your heart set on it and should be fine.

When I went to see him he was really a gentleman and such a nice guy, he had someone else with him so I had to wait about 5-10 mins (had a little chat with Rachael while I waited!) and was like sorry to keep you waiting and really nice.

Took her out to a fancy restaurant yesterday and gave her the ring, she didn't know I was taking her to a posh place and we had our own private dining area and she totally loved that, then the waiter bought the ring out she was totally loving it! Her jaw was aching from the big grin she couldn't get off her face! Never seen her so surprised and happy so was a great evening we had out yesterday.

I agree - Leon is a really nice guy. I had a great experience with him also. I think it's about doing your homework and respecting his time.
