Awesome new tanzanite earrings!

My tanzanite earrings are finished and I got to pick them up today!

They are 3.86ctw tanzanites and .86ctw G/H diamonds. I bought one tanzanite to be a pendant and wore it that way for several years. It was one of my first ever stones that I collected. I eventually found it to be too small on me as a pendant, but realized that if I got another stone that I could match well enough, that I could make a pair of earrings. I was lucky enough to find a close enough match and had my jeweler set this stone just like the one in the pendant but add posts so I could wear them as earrings. I think they turned out great!

Hi All,

Here is the link to my most prized stone, the one that will someday soon become the centerpiece of a tanzanite and diamond necklace. I bought this stone a while ago but have not yet set it. I now know what I want to do though so it's just a matter of time (and money).

Tanzanite is my favorite stone so I'll have my ring, earrings, and soon-to-be necklace. Different shapes and designs, but a type of "suite" in it's own way. I rarely wear matched sets of jewelry anyway so it doesn't make any difference.

I'm loving these earrings. I'm tired today after a very long night at the office but I feel like a queen with my new earrings. At least they're sparkling, even when I may not be!

I will get a picture of the earrings and ring together. And, I'll toss my loose 8.56 carat tanzanite into the mix, too, for good measure.

Thanks, everyone for your kind comments. Thank goodness for you guys, I can't very well show my IRL friends this kind of stuff. They'd never ever get it the way you do!
