Got my Barry Supernova Imperial garnet set.
I'm still looking for a jewelery here in Philly I like, so far, everyone I've tried has been underwhelming. :/ But at least they're all cheap and fast. At least none of my stones have been damaged, just the setting is a little meh.

Anyways, I do love this stone, and I got this LOGR setting for it because I wanted to try out a halo.

Ok, on to pics

Aw, thanks everyone! I don't think the stone is meh at all! I was just a little underwhelmed with the jewelers who set it, the prongs are a little messy, you can only tell from close up, but still. My hunt for a jeweler I like in Philly continues!

Beautiful!!

Wow, absolutely gorgeous!!! The metal complements the stone perfectly!!!

Beautiful stone, and I think the setting compliments it perfectly!

Pretty! It looks awesome in yellow gold.

Did you ever try my guy on Jewelers Row? Jean Manazer (in the big building on the southeast corner of8th and Sansom) ...he was super-cheap, quick, and did a really nice job.

Really beautiful, MTG :appl: The colors look great together and it's feminine and elegant. Looks perfect on you too!

Not only is the stone gorgeous, I am amazed at the quality of LOGR! Congratulations!

That turned out beautifully, MTG! The yellow gold was the perfect choice. :appl: :appl: :appl:

Sorry, I can't comment on the "meh" nature of the setting job; the stone's sparkle is too blinding to notice...

Oh, and I love the halo - can you snap a pic of the underside?

Delicate and beautiful. :appl:

Oops, I'm on my way to the airport now, but I will when I get back!

Thanks again all for the kind words! The setting itself is nice for the price, a little light, but looks lovely. :)

That is wildly beautiful!!!! I would love to wear something like that myself. Wear it in good health :))

Really beautiful! I love the yellow gold with that stone...really pretty.

MTG,
Did you do 14K or 18K?

I love it, it is absolutely gorgeous!

Very pretty!

I ended up doing 14k as the 18k looked too strong for the delicate color. I'm happy with the choice though, I think it is just the right amount of delicate gold shimmer to offset the stone without competing or overwhelming.

I really love love love the color, very reminiscent of that padparadscha/coral/salmony color I adore so much.

What is a "supernova" imperial garnet? I have never heard the term "supernova" used with garnets - can you educate me??
