Barry splurge, too much to put into one ring?

So here are some of my recent Barry splurges. 6mm blue and red spinels, and a 7x6 seafoam glowy tourmaline. I was thinking of doing some form of three stone ring because, well, I have more gems than fingers, and it'd be nice to consolidate! I also don't have many 3 stones, and I like how the spinels have a comparable med dark tone.

Here are terrible cell phone photos, complete with smudgy fingerprints, taken at work. Sorry! But you get the gist. Open to design suggestions!

stackers.
wear together or separately, depending on mood.

I just LOVE that green tourmaline. I'm not usually a fan of bi-color tourmalines but this one is luscious!

For a ring, my preference would be matching sidestones. Three colors look a bit much for a ring.

Too much for a single ring (colour, size and shape) but you can get away with stackers.

Definitely too much for one ring, but I also say at 6mm they're too big for stackers. The colors look fine together, but I think they would overwhelm your small fingers and the stones would compete with each other for attention. On the other hand, they probably could be worked into a pendant. I still think I'd set them all separately, though.

You know where you can go to unload the blue or green one if you decide not to keep them!

One more for stackers (though I'm not sure the tourmaline really "goes"), or how about a bypass ring with the two spinels?

I know what you mean about too many stones for fingers. Even though I have way more than I "need," I still keep on acquiring, then, as you do too, I often end up selling them on DB. I guess I feel like I "have" to have them, if only for a little while...

I think the colors compete with one another rather than complement. It's confusing to the eye. I agree that they're too big for stackers. To me, stackers are most effective when the stones are small enough not to be too tall in the ring. The depth must be taken into consideration as much as the width.

wouldn't be too big as stackers for me!
but many do like smaller stones/rings, etc.
no right, no wrong...just personal preferences.....

i think the reason i have not bought stackers is they are too small.
memo to self: get some of those stones out of your cupboard and set as stackers!

How true! I've found that the height of rings is more of a deciding point of whether I can wear a ring or not.

+1 to all of this as well!

Some really good buying there Uppy! I think they're all gorgeous. Stackers are a good idea and I posted a photo recently of a set with "bubble" bands and plain hammered ones in between. Alternatively, both Tanzigirl and TL have fabulous! outstanding! droolworthy! (to me) multi-gem rings and I covet them both. I'll post them below this - I don't know if you want some diamonds in there or if it might work out too big.

Yeah I think it would be a little too much. But I think the blue and red one would make a cool retro style bypass ring.

This too!

I think the tourm just doesn't go with the spinels. But the two spinels are cool! If you have any 6mm white diamonds lying around...could be very patriotic!

But yeah, I'd do a bypass!

I like the blue and red spinels as stackers, but the green is too pastel to be combined with the spinels. If you really wanted 3 stackers (b/c they look good in odd numbers), I would get a green stone that has a more primary green color. A blueish tsavorite, or a emerald with the right intensity would look great. You could get a smaller size for the green stone, and it would look great as a stack. I would also consider a purple stone, like an amethyst.
