Back in the day I would be out playing in the snow all day on days like today.
Today I grabbed blankets and curled up on the couch.

That was a crazy one, thankfully this time isn't close but my tooties are frozen here. The showroom is 71degrees but the hallway is like 50. Outside is 20. Thank goodness for hot cocoa. @Ibrakeforpossums

We have had a week of -temps in North West England, which FINALLY thawed a few days ago. Where we live ranged between -3 & -6 each day. It finished me off!

I am so concerned for our feral kitties...we have the heat pad under their water so it won't freeze and plenty of food for them but the temps are dangerous for them and they don't use any of our shelters...

I'm in New England and I lost power at 6:30 a.m. yesterday. It wasn't too bad as the temp was in the high 40's but torrential rains. However it was going down to around 9 degrees overnight. Luckily the power came back on at 5:00 p.m. right as the temp started to drop. Pretty cold today at 13 degrees right now.

Power still out up here, second weekend in a row. It's not exactly unexpected for these parts. It's been one of the weirdest winters ever. What little snow we had mostly melted and there's ice everywhere after the crazy wind and rain. We had a thunderstorm warning for a spell last night!
Right now it's more normal with a high of 14F and a feels like of 1F for the day.
Next week it will get into the high 40s, maybe even low 50s in Maine, in January. That's way too warm.
We saw icicles in Alabama on the news! Texas frozen over! I hope everyone stays warm.
It's opposite winter. Just odd.

We always do
Oh yes, a big one with a little enclosure to put over it. We were lucky that power came back around 2 this afternoon right before we left for Christmas dinner, so it was only 24hrs or so, this time.
We've lost power 3 times this year already!
I'm just glad that we're 'necessity preppers' and it's just par for the course. The most annoying thing is for DH(or me, if he's not here) to schlep it from the barn and back.

She’s purring up a storm on my lap right now as we’re watching a movie and omg I’m dying of the heat because she feels like 110 degrees f

just finished xmas dinner
did a smallish cooked breakfast
was going to have cold turkey and salad and new potatoes for lunch but i forgot to take turkey out of freezer until very late last night I got out of bed when i remembered) its just a small boneless roast
anyway ended up having hot turkey with American style stuffing (first time - crunchy top was a winner) but im now too hot for pudding (its going to be pavalova) so we just had some shortbread with a cup of tea (well i had had sangria) and im off for a lie down
i wish we could swap 10 degrees but i dont think 10 degrees would do that much for you guys
i just hope you all have power and heat for christmas

It actually makes the cold weather palatable for me plus Gracie is very discerning and she only seeks out my body (heat) when it is cold. So one thing about winter that doesn't suck haha. I am kissing her for you right now!
