My 2.04 carat RBC solitaire won't be ready until September 18th. I've already picked out the stone, setting, etc. But because I can't wait, I just HAD to go over to blue nile, print a picture of an actual 2 carat size diamond, cut it out, and stick it on a ring with double-sided tape just to see how much of my finger (size 4.5) that is going to cover up. Yep. I did....

Oh, and I could have TOTALLY rocked a 3.....

And I read my GIA report and my spread is 8.23 so I actually didn't cut all the way to the sides because the measurement was 8.1

Me too, did the exact same thing. How else are we gonna figure out if it covers the ENTIRE width of the finger (my ultimate goal). Still working on it.
