Best 2019 Tiffany Metro ring alternative?

Yup, still interested in a Tiffany rose gold Metro band after all these years. Still think the price is insane. Are there better alternatives? The sparkle on the Blue Nile rose gold micropave version was underwhelming. I’ve heard Leon Mege and Etsy mentioned. I’m curious if there are any recent recommendations.

For those who own one, how has yours held up?

Thanks!

When I went to Tiffany's to look at bands, the first one I liked was the Metro. The sales associate told me though that she would not recommend it for every day wear. It is delicate and I'm sure there are those that have had them and had no trouble but I didn't want a band that would possibly bend. When I went back again, I saw the channel set eternity band and after trying it on, I really liked it better with my engagement ring anyway. I have had that band now for about eight years and not one problem with it. So I never owned the Metro band but just thought I'd share that with you. Hope others that have had the band chime in here and hope that they had good experience with it.

For those who own one, how has yours held up? @TweetyBird23 hi! I’m also obsessed w the Metro and just was there to buy it but honestly would not spend that for it... so o ended up seeing a sale and did get the $750 Tazza band on Blue Nile (Reg $1400)? Here is a photo.. I love it. For the money... I think it can’t be beat and there is no metal to be seen! And it’s sparkly. Perhaps, bc my expectations were so low, but I do love it. 30 day no questions asked 100% returnable. Worth a try.

Thanks!

size 5!

I got my brand new 18k yellow gold tiffany metro band (you can see it in my avatar) on ebay for around $600. I wear it a lot and sometimes REALLY yank on it to get it off and it's in perfect condition. Keep checking there!

I love most T&Co bands and I have a couple. That said, they are not cheap.
The metro reminds me of Zina bands on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/164797...ity-band-in-18k?ref=shop_home_active_51&frs=1

@msop04 purchased a beautiful Zina one and perhaps she can provide her feedback?

I do have a Zina band with black rhodium plating... I am happy with the sparkle factor, esp for the price. That said, if you're wanting it to be your main band and/or in white metal, I'm not sure you'd be "blown away"... LOL I wanted mine to have a moody, edgy look to pair with 18K YG, so you may be wanting a much different look. (Disclaimer: I have never seen any other Zina band IRL, so I cannot say one way or the other on them)

This is a craptactular shot... and with my platinum band. I'll see if I can find some more.

Here are some more... keep in mind this is black rhodium plated. :)

I own this in rose gold and It has held up really well. I am actually thinking of selling it just bc it doesn’t get as much wear now that I have other bands to wear with my solitaire.
It is similar to the Zina bands, which I have two of as well.

Hi Kayla,

Is your Zina band the 1.2mm or 1.5mm?

I ordered a Zina band! I hope it's sparkly and pairs well with my new solitaire to achieve this look:

I love it @msop04 ! Do you have the 1.2mm or the 1.5mm? Zina's 1.2mm has ~.20ctw and the 1.5mm has approximately .45ctw. The Metro is 1.4-1.5mm with ~.20 ctw.

I chose Zina's 1.2mm with .20ctw.

Mine are about 2 mm. I have one with pink diamonds and one with yellow diamonds.

Oh, rats. I wonder if the 1.2mm is too thin then. Maybe I should have gone with the 1.5mm. :knockout:

I don't feel like it's too thin... it just depends on the look you want and how hard you are on your rings. Also, I feel like mine is a smidge thicker than the 1.1 stated... maybe 1.3-ish??

...for reference, my 18K yg band is 1.8 mm.

@TweetyBird23, do you plan to use this as your sole wedding band or add it to a stack? If stacking, great... if it's gonna be the only one, I'd get a little wider one, as I feel it may get lost under your ering. If that's the look you're going for, then ignore me. ;)

Let me see if I can find a pic with just that band with my ering.

I have exactly ONE photo (probably because it made me nervous to wear it alone - HA!)...
