I’m having difficulty settling on a setting for the 2ct rounds/4ctw I’m anticipating receiving from Ritani. I requested a quote from David and sent off an inspo pic. I thought I wanted a 3 prong martini modified to have a flat bottom but I’m second guessing after doing more research. My inspiration was these rocks in 3 prong on Hilary duff which I thought was so pretty! Does anyone know how large hers are?
My requirements for the setting were that it’s low profile, flat bottomed (to avoid stretching of ear holes), letting in plenty of light, yet secure. I work in an office and walk my dog, attend spin class 2-3x/week. I have a small set of bezel studs that measure about 4.25mm across with screw backs so I’m not sure how these larger studs will sit on my smallish thin lobes.
I initially sent off to David 2nd pic - 6 prongs martini. I was going to just make it 3 prong. (I think these were m-2-bs diamond studs from WF that are larger at 2.4ish) And then some others, one is Lljsmom from her recent project and I forget where the other is from but made by DK I believe.
And I’m sorta confused about the backings. The fave seems to be jumbo backing but does that also come in screw backs? I usually sleep/shower with the small diamond studs on for a few days before changing them out to something else. And what’s the La pousette/disc? Is that comfy??
