hi. I'm looking for a marquise stone approximately 1.2 carats excellent cut and clarity of vs2. Can anyone recommend a good dealer for this type of stone?

You can either look for them yourself on James Allen or call up good old Gold and have them find one for you.

ETA there isnt an excellent cut for a marquise. They are a completely different breed than rounds. and i understand the want to have a VS2, but dont automatically disregard a SI1 if it is eye clean, you get a lot of savings that way.

I have found Good Old Gold to do an outstanding job finding fancy shape stones. Jonathan just called in some asschers for me as a matter of fact and the video and comparison on the stones is so helpful!

Does anyone know anything about since 1910? I think they are hl gross located in garden city . Would online prices be the same as in store price?

diamonds, especially fancies, need to be seen in person, you cant pick them off the numbers, i mean look at these three marquise, they all look VERY different, and not all are desirable, especially the last one with the terrible terrible bowtie

ugh no! When I asked the bridal shop they looked at me like I was a crazy person....
I was going to have it custom made, but the shape looked very bad on me, so I ended up getting a striped one...

As for your daughter, how neat that she wants a marquise ring? what kind of setting would it be?

I live in Michigan so a bridal shop around the Michigan Lakeshore.
What is your daughters plan for her marquise?? or is this too far into the planning stages to know?

A little too early in the planning stages since waiting for the proposal! But diamond hunting is right up my alley, so am enjoying this.
