Bezel a peridot?

Would I be crazy to bezel a peridot? Does anyone have one? I've been sitting on my Barry cushion for a little bit because I'm have trouble figuring out what kind of ring I want. I think I've settled on a simple bezel but it scares me!

I've had my local jeweller bezel a peridot which I then gifted it to a family member.

It seems to me that I have seen examples of bezeled peridots here. Have you searched for them? I seem to recall someone having Julia Kay Taylor bezel one, if that helps at all.

Thanks minous! I still feel nervous about it, but hopefully if I do go with danielm it shouldn't be a problem.

Just an observation but the setting you've chosen is for a cushion - your peridot has a unique shape with pointed sides in the middle. I would want to enhance that with a bezel but doubt that the setting you've chosen will do it unless it's custom made.

Thanks for linking my stone Kunzite! Hopefully it makes you feel more comfortable about going with a bezel for your lovely stone. I have sold quite a few of my colored stone rings lately but I still love my peridot ring as much as the day I got it and I highly recommend Julia Kay Taylor!

I had mine set in a bezel and i love it HOW did mine and will do my matching pendant (when i get around to sending it off)
