I'm planning to make a bezel pendant (i have DBTY or Barbara style in mind), and i have 2 candidate loose stones: one is 0.38ct the other 0.61ct. I am a bit reluctant to bezel the 0.61 one because it is a vs1 stone, and with the laser inscription being covered, i don't know how i can identify the stone :(sad . On the other hand, the 0.38ct is vs2 stone and may not have the indentification problem, but I'm thinking it might be a bit small for a pendant -- as i have a big round face

I'd love to hear people's opinion, which size would you go for a pendant? Is there any way i could confirm that my stone is still my stone after it is bezeled?

Thank you very much!!

I bought a .40ct bezel pendant this fall and I love it! I'm not a little girl (5'10" and curvy!) but I don't think that the pendant is too small. I wouldn't mind :naughty: if it was a bit bigger but it's still nice size and gives enough presence.

For me it would be the .61 stone. I'm sure you can take the pendant to a local jeweler and have them verify that
you got what you paid for. I dont think not being able to identify the stone due to lack of inclusions is a good
reason to NOT buy a stone. If its a real problem in your mind why dont you find another larger stone that is an
SI1?

I received my .55 pendant today and love the diamond size. Not sure I would let the laser inscription being covered be a deciding factor for me. Do you have any reason to believe your jeweler would switch the stone? Most wouldn't risk their reputation by doing so.
Get the size you think will make you happy long term. You don't want a case of pendant DSS ;))

I would use the bigger stone but understand your concern. You have to know and trust your jeweler.
