BGD .43 or .34 noticeable size difference?

For a $200 difference, I'd go with the bigger one.

I think you will be able to tell. I upgraded my BGD studs from 0.33ct each to 0.44ct each and you could definitely tell the difference. The difference in the stones you are comparing is a teeny bit smaller but I still think you will notice a difference.

Oh wow! Ok, that totally sealed the deal!

Another vote for the 0.43ct!

How many mm difference were your's?

Yup, any mm difference greater than 0.5 mm is definitely noticeable.

These two have a difference of .35mm. Is that enough?

Certainly enough for me.

Totally worth it, in my mind. $200 is not much and or the obvious size difference, go for it! Or get both then look for another .34!! :naughty:

Another vote for the larger stone. This will be for your 5 or 7-stone ring, right?

Now I know why they call you The Enabler! No, that's a lie. I knew who you were this whole time! Enabler!

That is correct madam Phoenix! Do you think there will be an overall noticeable difference?

That's weird! I know that my name is mis-spelled (have tried to ask for it be fixed but it still remains mis-spelled) when you look up my profile but usually not in a quote....Ah well...[shrug]...

And yes, I believe there will be, absolutely. So all 5 or 7 stones will be .43ct each?

YayTacori are you collecting the stones over time? I would love a 5 stone and had considered buying the diamonds one at a time so it's easier to budget. That also makes it easier to justify going with bigger diamonds :naughty: I also vote for the .43. I just received my studs from BGD which are .31 and they are gorgeous but I know I will upgrade to larger stones next year. From Stargirls pics there seems to be quite a difference in the sizes.

The 0.31ct were about 4.35mm and the 0.44ct were about 4.88mm so about 0.5mm difference... And while I was looking for stones for studs I had both a 0.31ct and a 0.37ct in my possession and I could tell the difference between those as well.

Lady, if I could buy all 3 of the 5, I would just buy all five! I'm not rich like you! I'm also saving money to go to Hawaii for my friend's wedding. If she cancels the wedding, I can buy all 5. Oh my, I'm so naughty...

That's weird that your name does that. I thought my eyes were doing weird things when I saw the O and the E were switched.

And yes, I'm thinking all the stones will be .43 so I wanna make sure that I get the right starter stone.

Yup, that's what I am trying to do. Buy the diamonds over time (since I'm not in any hurry) and make my 5 or 7 stone. I would like to go about 5mm but I can't seem to find a diamond that's within my budget that isn't over that .5 carat mark that makes that jump in price. I couldn't find a .48 or .49 M SI1 which would be awesome cuz I don't mind color and the low clarity is fine cuz it's not my Ering. But, the size would be bigger. I found a 5-stone trellis ring that on JBEG while perusing their sold section. Each diamond is about .53 carats. The size of the diamonds are amazing and I think I will have that finger coverage and bling factor I so desire. http://jewelsbyericagrace.smugmug.c...Brian/24119285_mf6qFf#!i=1959939617&k=d8Zxm3v

Awesome! Thank you! I would like to find a diamond bigger than the .43ct but it seems that's my best bet.

that 5 stone trellis by BGD is OUTSTANDING!! Totally blingtastical! What an inspiration piece! I thought you had a graduated 5 or 7 stone in mind... I was confused (ha! like that's unusual  ) so now I understand - this is the first of many on the road to a 5 or 7 stone... GOT IT!

Well, I'd go with the .43. You would never regret going bigger and more people on PS tend to wish they had gone slightly larger. I'd do larger myself, since my hands are not tiny. If it were me, and I had now collected all 5, I think I'd be tempted to see what 2 slightly smaller 'end' diamonds would look like, at that point. Maybe a .20 - .25 on each end, as they start to 'dip' around your finger. I realize that's more $$ but ... well... you just *KNOW* what I'm gonna say, so I'll leave it at that!! :Up_to_something: ( I'm just so subtle... :halo: )

That sounds amazing Enerchi! A 5 stone and then two two smaller ones at the end to wrap sounds awesome!!! I want a 7-stone but was worried that the diamonds might stick out from my fingers and be uncomfortable. But your idea totally opened up a new horizon! Why didn't I think of that?

Hahah! That's hilarious Enerchi! Do you have a place of business or are you just on the web?

I can't get over how perfect this ring is. I hope it's ok to post my favorite pics.

mainly on the web... or... just head to the second star on the right and straight on till morning... (thank you Peter Pan!)

I LOVE your inspiration ring! That JbEG is amazing!! total finger coverage with those 1/2 ct stones and if you were to go for the .40's range + the 2 additional .20/.25's on the end --- you would have awesome finger width coverage as well! it would be stunning, no doubt about it! And a trellis --- well, that and claw prongs are my Achilles heel - I am weak in the presence of those 2 intoxicating features!!

I love it - I really hope you can fulfill this wish because I'm rooting for you on this dream!!! It would be amazing!! Dibs on wearing it when I come to visit!

Oh My YayTacori that inspiration ring is over-the-top amazing and delicious  By all means go with the bigger stones and I so second The Enablers suggestion to put .25's on the end. Hurry up on your collecting so we can all drool over your fab new ring :naughty:
