Once again, Australian customs are driving me up the wall.
If they didn''t muck up the import, I could have picked up my package this arvo...

Unbelievable. I would be furious too. Hope it all gets sorted tomorrow.

*sigh* they're just over-zealous jerks basically, lol!
I think I've only ever had one import go smoothly, it's nuts..
They wanted tax/import payment on the *whole value* of the item, not just the change in value for the new setting - despite the fact it was clearly marked both on the way to the US and back in correctly.
So, I've spent hours going back and forth via phone and email - and poor Lesley has too, and she's ended up having to re-do the paperwork at about 11pm on a sunday night..
The best bit? They want to charge me a $132 fee for 'disputing' their original decision, despite the fact its not my fault in any way!
anyways...I'm waiting now for the new result. You can bet they are *not* getting that $132, lol.

Thanks SS...
I am sorry to say, I caved today and paid the $132 ''dispute fee'', plus their $55 processing fee. All because *their* broker did not interpret the paperwork correctly and had to re-do it
They were basically holding my package hostage and said they would ''have no choice but to return it to sender'' if I did not pay the fees. NOT COOL.
This whole transaction smacked of greed, and I am not impressed with FedEx at all.
Anyways, its done now and I will put it behind me and not let it dampen my enjoyment of my new ring- which, with any luck they should finally release tomorrow
