Thank you all, especially Dreamer.

I have narrowed it down to 2, possibly 3 choices for a RB diamond in a 4-prong traditional setting. I was hoping to get a H&A type cut for a G/SI1, but running short on time. Please let me know which of these diamonds you would prefer. Guess, I am wondering if the G is worth the extra 1.4k! I would love everyone''s feedback and alternative suggestions. You all have been so helpful - thanks again!

(What do you think a G/SI1 H&A cut would go for... I heard that BGD is getting new stock in a few weeks)

The links have the Idealscope images.

Alternatively, a distant 3rd (still waiting to hear from JA that it is eye clean).

James Allen, True Hearts. (Need to hear back if eye-clean, assuming no b/c of the price)
1.5 carat, F, SI2. $9,740 (significantly cheaper than the 2 above)

it might be worth it for you to have them sent to an appraiser for you to check them out yourself.

Hi diamondesq

Personally I like the BG diamond best but they are all excellent. A point to bear in mind, if you ever wanted to upgrade, both vendors offer upgrade policies but the terms and conditions of each vary, should this be a future consideration then it would be worth reading through each policy and factoring that into your decision.

Ditto.

I vote for the BGD diamond, not only is it an amazing cut stone but also the measurements are tad larger than the 1st JA stone. I don''t like the SI2 stone, because of its inclusions. You got a winner in the BGD stone. They also offer a lifetime upgrade for all BGD Signature stones

The JA 1.50 F/SI1 has a "Yellow Flouresence" - I read a past thread that it should only affect the resale value/demand (not value so much because I paid less than that).

Also looks as if someone grabbed the BGD diamond

Anyone else have any suggestions for a 1.5 carat F/G, H&A cut, SI1/VS2 under 13k

Personally I would avoid yellow fluorescence but thats me.

If you would consider H colour, here is one which might suit you,

Also if the original diamond above from JA is still available you could still consider that one, I linked it below

Thanks for the shout out

I like the store policies and customer service better at GOG and BGD, so I would personally prefer to buy from them. I like the FSI1 from GOG, but if it is not exactly what you want then me, I would wait and see what comes in at BGD. Its a lot of money, you should get what you want. I would guess that a G SI1 would be within 1k of the HVS2 you posted, but that is a guess.

Lurkers snatch stones that get PS approval. If you *really* like one then you need to put it on hold before posting about it.

ETA Just to clarify, JA is great and the diamond that have been suggested from there look good, but they do not have the same upgrade policies and buyback that the other two have, and that matters to me. You never know what the future holds. But if you are certain you will not care, then JA is a great resource with well priced stones.

I would call Lesley and Brian @BGD and ask them if their current batch of diamonds being currently gradedby AGS has anything fitting your criteria
