Bling Wish List 2021

How exciting to think of a new year that will end with the pandemic being over (hopefully!)

I'm working on my list and checking it against my 2020 wish list so will post it in a bit.

I know y'all are pretty tired of me sharing these two pieces but a girl can't lie. These two pieces are the bees knees for me. SWOON.

Due to covid, I've spent way more than I would have liked on bling this year. I mean what else was there to do lol. So I should cut back next year as I'm hoping to upgrade my house.

I think for 2021...

1. New thick plain gold wedding ring
2. A 7 stone diamond ring (unfinished from 2020)
3. Antique diamond line bracelet
4. Resetting my upgrade e ring? (This might be for 2022 depending on how I like my upgrade and DSS is real and I don't even have the ring yet lol)

So these were my projects from 2020.. still waiting for that upgrade e ring which I think will come in the next few weeks making it 2021.

Here is my list, updated for 2021. I probably won't get around to it all in one year though:

1) work on pearl collection- condense, re-string, upgrades, etc.

2) sell or give away other jewelry that I no longer wear

3) small Tahitian stud earrings

4) silver and cz tennis necklace

5) silver and cz special occasion dangle earrings

6) lab diamond, moissanite or cz stud earrings in non-flimsy wg prong setting, 2-2.5 ctw

7) lab diamond, moissanite or cz stud earrings in non-flimsy yg halo setting, 2ctw

8 ) new setting for e-ring, with larger v-prongs and in smaller ring size

9) one complete ring, or two nice stones (mined or lab) to be set as funds allow

10) costume, sterling or cz "fun" jewelry

11) possibly have diamond set into bangle bracelet this year

12) jewelry box/es

13) new safe

14) new safety deposit box

15) Upgrade shield ring w better diamonds

I’m going to try to be good and not buy anything! I really have more jewellery than I could ever wear in the rest of my lifetime.

Being a good PS’er I do have some stones to set; a pink spinel into a RHR, a piece of lapis for a pendant and a pair of unheated aqua, probably going into dangle earrings. That should use up my bling budget nicely!

Here is my Bling Wishlist for 2021, with a mix of items that are realistically achievable and some that are lottery-worthy:

1. To set some of my nicer CSs, the first on the list being the EC Aquamarine with step cut Morganite traps by Jeff W, then the Asscher cut blue Zircon also from him.

2. To set a pair of 6mm OEC Moissy as interchangeable drops for my existing tiny diamond huggies.

3. A pair of small D-shaped huggies with diamonds or lab/MMD that I can wear on their own.

4. A larger pair of diamond jackets or lab/MMDs for my near 1cttw G/H VS studs.

5. A diamond or lab/MMD or Moissy oval bangle in White Gold.

6. A DBTY bracelet in diammond or lab/MMD or Moissy in White Gold.

7. A strand of blue Tahitian pearls in 13-14mm range.

8. A Paraiba Tourmaline Cabochon.

I still have a few jewellery items to complete for 2020, however, they are unlikely to be ready this side of 2020.

In addition, some of my previous lottery-worthy dream items have been realised by lab or simulants, such as a medium blue Asscher cut Sapphire (by Gary), and 5ct Moissy heart pendant. Hence they have been taken off from the list for 2021.

Wishing 2021 a much better for us all, in fortune, prosperity and longevity.

There are only 2 things I need and want. One for my DH to get and stay well.

And two for everyone to remain safe and get through this pandemic.
And that means successful vaccinations for all.

Winter makes me want a crescent diamond brooch to wear with my sweaters, but I just know I won’t get a lot of use for it because I don’t go anywhere so I can’t justify the cost per wear.

Aww I love the Cartier rolling trinity ring. I'd consider getting that myself. I feel you - we are trying to upsize our house so I really shouldn't be spending money on bling next year

As for my list, I’ve had my new solitaire for less than 6 months, it’s beautiful, but I’m already bored to tears. I need to have a long hard think about turning it into the moi et toi of my dreams, or work on building my wrist stack.

I am torn on my sweets. I have the mop butterfly. I like the wg turquoise butterfly and rg heart but I feel like I need to have two in same metal.

I don’t think you need to match the metal colours, if the motifs are complementary to each other. Lljsmom matched her sweet carnelian rose gold Alhambra bracelet with a turquoise butterfly and I think the combination is stunning. I have a sweet mop Alhambra and I’m drawn to the full pave Frivole flower. But, oh the price!!!
