Blue Nile Diamond Pendant

I just purchased a 1/3 ct. diamond solitaire pendant for my wife from Blue Nile - see attached link.

However I just found the same item on Steindiamonds for almost $200 cheaper.

Has anyone done business with Stein? Why do you think this is so much cheaper? All of the specs seem to be similar. I am thinking of returning to BN and purchasing from Stein.

Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to Pricescope!

I have no personal experience with Stein Diamonds, nor is there much information about them when I searched the forum. Click here for a BBB report on Stein's retail practices. Personally I would go with BN even with the extra $200. I prefer to deal with businesses that have a pretty good reputation, especially when it comes to diamonds and other precious stones. Not saying that Stein Diamonds doesn't have a good rep, but certainly information about them is not readily available here on PS. On the other hand, many people around PS have used BN and been very happy with the experience.

You might also check out this link: http://www.whiteflash.com/golden-wardrobe/Gold_Details.aspx?ItemCode=WF-4069-SET&CategID=7 to a diamond pendant from White Flash. It's right around the same price as the Blue Nile pendant, with slightly better stats.

ETA: I just re-read your post and realized that you've already purchased your pendant. If you are happy with it...keep it!!! Just my $.02.

Thank you so much for replying. I have used BN before and was very happy with them. I am also happy with this purchase, but I was just curious when I came across the one on Stein. I think I''m just going to keep it and I hope my wife likes it

I actually learned so much PS when I was purchasing my wife''s engagement ring. It is a great site!

Very pretty pendant. I would stick with the pretty BN pendant your wife loves.
