So I ordered this dress in a size 6 because it was the only one that they had left. I''m a size 0-2. Here''s pictures of the dress half-pinned (I started taking them out before I remembered to take pics). Alterations are probably going to cost more than the dress did, which is fine. My mom offered to do them for me (without seeing the dress or knowing what has to be done), but that makes me nervous.

Since, I''m the only one who has seen this dress, I''d like some other opinions about it.

Also, what on earth am I supposed to wear as far as undergarments? I have one of those stick-on chicken cutlet bra thingy (I can never place those on right) and a smooth panty that I just bought, but I still don''t think that''s ideal. Would a half slip help? Some sort of backless bodysuit?

Any tips on getting tan lines to fade? Mine tend to be tenacious and stay year round even though I wear sunblock.

I just wanted to say that''s a really lovely dress! I had the same undergarment issue when I was trying on similar styles ... not really sure what you would need. The first thing I would look at are those slips that also provide bra-like support. You would need one with a low back, but I would look around and see what you can find.

Ditto - nice dress but you'll have to careful with the slinky material. Some sort of slip is definitely needed. I know the dress needs altering but don't make it too tight as that material won't hold you in.

Oh, I LOVE the back of the dress with the low scoop and the lace. It''s beautiful. If having your mom do the alterations may in anyway go less than desired, it is better to have a stranger (seamstress) do them for you. I would bring the dress with you to your nearest bloomingdales etc and try it on with a spanx shape suit or slip or something like it. Not for the sucking in, so much as smoothing everything over.

The back is lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your dress is beautiful! It looks great on you! Maybe you could get cups put in so you don''t have to worry about the chicken cutlet cup thingy you were thinking about. Also, maybe you should try looking at getting a nude colored spanx. Good luck!

That''s so beautiful and elegant! Nice choice. As far as the tan lines go, I''d go to a salon/spa and ask about having them do an exfoliation and self-tanning creme application. That''ll even your skin tone out and hide the old tan lines.

Oh I think that dress is so beautiful on you! I think because of the fabric I''d take it to a seamstress as well.

High five from one Bluefly evening gown wedding dress bride to another!

Yeah high five, Freke! You''re going to be so glamorous in your dress. Do you have plans on wearing yours after the wedding?

Winks Elf, a question about how the self tan appplication would work - is it all over to even out the skin tone or do they apply it to just the lines?

Thanks all for the suggestion of a spanx suit or slip. I wish I could find stuff in stores to try on first. I found this slip online.

I hope so!

I don''t yet, but I''m going to keep it around, so if the need (or want

) arises, I can saunter around in it! And really, I already have about 10 (maybe 20?) pairs of shoes to wear with it!
