Boston area GTG

I still plan on being there. Unfortunately my collection of bling is miniscule- just my ering and small studs.

I''m watching the snow fly quite heavy from my office. I thought Boston would be getting more rain. Well, you know how New England weather is!

Weren''t we only supposed to get a dusting? It''s a flipping blizzard out there! We just had lunch 2 blocks away and it took forever to walk there and back. Supposedly I93 south of the city is a parking lot already.

We''re actually pretty close to each other...can you believe it''s STILL snowing? We''re DEFINITELY getting way more than they predicted. It''s pretty but it can stop now. Seriously. The mounds of snow outside our house are just growing and growing...[:

Ah yes Hudson... near state-wide gridlock like last Thursday. Wasn''t that fun!

I see it''s now tapering off, but who knows, it may pcik up again like earlier. I hope they have dome something with the roads this time. Last week it took us nearly 3 hours to go from Brighton to Billerica, normally a 35-40 minute trip.

ETA; I just looked at the weather and it says there's not supposed to be snowing for the GTG. It is nine days out though. Who knows what the weather will really be.

Hi Nebe,

I don''t think it''s coming your way. Last night on the news, it was predicted that my area would get 3-6 inches but northest of us (Maine) would get 5-8 inches. I have no idea what the totals are right now but we HAD to have gotten more then 3-6 inches. I would imagine that eventually the snow would move into the Atlantic. I think you''re safe.

We probably got an additional 8-10 inches from this one. Some roads [mine!] are so narrow that two cars can''t get by eachother and you can''t see over the banks when you stop at a stop sign! Snarl!

I''m still going to try to make it, but it depends on our car and my cold. I should know by tomorrow, so I''ll be sure and check in! Sorry, I know it''s a pain to finalize the list when I can''t say 100%, but I should know by tomorrow!

Awwwwwwwwww, NEL - SO sorry to hear about your hubby/car. Glad hubby''s ok; sad the car isn''t! Wow, it''s a tough week or two around here for autos lately!

Where are you located NEL? If it turns out you''re up for it healthwise, perhaps I can help out with a ride?

Diamante, I think they''ve revised the forecast - it looks pretty smooth now for Saturday from what I''m seeing.

I''m not coming from Nashua, so I can''t help with the carpool....hopefully someone can, though.

Requests? BRING IT ALL, BABY! LMAO! I know KT and I are going to be doing so. In fact, I have something shipping in to me tomorrow that will arrive in time for the GTG! YAY!

Aljdewey, thanks so much for offering, that was very sweet of you!! Our insurance covers car rentals, so we just rented a car and I''m all set to go (I''m feeling better today!)

I always hit the rock gym on Sat. mornings, so I''ll probably be coming directly from working out, I''d like to apologize in advance for looking shabby! I''ll bring what I''ve got, but it ain''t much! I''m really looking forward to meeting everybody!! Woohoo!

I''d love to carpool if possible. I''m not sure if I''ll be able to though. I''ll talk it over with my FI and get back to you later today.
