I am considering a tennis bracelet. The standard length is 7 inches. My wrist measures 5.7-5.9", but I do not know exactly, because the measuring string may stretch a bit. I read somewhere that the correct bracelet length should be 0.75"-1" more than one''s wrist length. Thus, I thought 6.5" would do. Later I read somewhere in PS that someone preferred 2 inches longer, and I got confused. Then I started making bracelets out of thin paper and tried to "feel" which length would be best for me.
The attached photo shows three different lengths: 6.5", 6.7", and 7". Although I feel 6.7" may be the best, the other two lengths are also considered acceptable (or soemtimes preferred) by others. Before I finalize my bracelet length, I want to find out what most people prefer, tight fit (0.5-0.6" margin), a little slack (about 0.8-1.0" margin), or lots of slack (1.1-1.3" margin or more)? Wonder if the answers may help me see a different light?
