Attached are the details of a 1.16ct H VS2 Round that I am very close to purchasing for my gf's e-ring. Before I move forward, I would appreciate the opinions of any and all PSers.

The stone is within my budget ($7,966) and will likely be placed in a Novela-type micropave setting. My only concerns at this point are the whiter parts of the Idealscope image - is this something I should be worried about?

Many Thanks.

In particular, I am concerned about the leakage around the table. Is there enough leakage there to give this stone second thoughts?

its a nice diamond. the leakage is intended for nicely cut rounds.

What??

OP - Yes, white means leakage in the idealscope and is something that wouldn't be considered positive. I've only seen a few idealscopes that had absolutely no white in them and literally were red and black. Those are the best. However, with a stone like this, the white isn't too much, and I'd ask an expert about the leakage around the table. It may just be the angle the picture was snapped at...Anyways, I would contact the vendor with all your concerns as that's the best place to get clarification since they can pull the stone etc.

That is correct, the white areas outside the table are no concern they belong there, the lighter pink areas inside the table are no concern either, Brian runs his back light on the bright side making them look worse than they are in real life. As the ASET shows they are fine.

Not true, if they are an RB and no white spots outside the table they are painted/dug which can have a negative effect on scintillation. Some still like the look but the impact on scintillation is there.

Thanks all for the replies.

If your still concerned set up an appointment to talk to Brian on the phone about the diamond.
He will be 100% honest with you and you will have a good time talking to him and it will be educational.

ditto, Brian and Lesley are awesome to talk to about any concerns you have, looks lovely!

I spoke with Denise (who had been helping me on my diamond search since mid Decmber) yesterday and she assuaged my concerns. I'm happy to say I purchased the stone and Legera setting and it should arrive within two weeks.

Thanks again to all the helpful PSers I've encountered along the way! I will post pictures of the finished product when I have them.

Do you have pictures of the Legera setting that you could post?
