This beautiful ring's center stone is a transition cut, quarter-carat, F, SI1 diamond, measuring 3.7 x 4.2 x 2.3mm. Though modest in size, it is the brightest, iciest diamond I have ever seen and shines from across a room. I love its faceting and just simply get lost in all of the fire and colors that it throws. I did the very best I could to capture the stone's faceting with pics, and as soon as the sun comes out, I'll certainly update with a few pics that show just how fiery this little stone can be
Beyond the center stone, in my eyes, the setting is the epitome of understated elegance. The stone is set flush in an 18k white gold vintage square illusion setting, framed in a top square crown with intricate milgrain detailing. The ring's open gallery contains delicate wire work, additional milgrain, and one flush set single cut diamond melee sits on either side of the center stone's crown.
This ring is one of the most sentimental pieces that I have the privilege to wear. My grandmother gave it to me on Christmas day the very last time I saw her, just over twenty years ago. This very special ring was her grandmother's before her, and she entrusted it to me as her first born granddaughter. I was very young to receive such a gift, but I have always held it near and dear and thought I would share it with you.
Hope you enjoy the pics!
