I am sooooooo disappointed and not pleased with my first ebay experience.

I emailed them so hopefully they''ll let me exchange it with THEM paying for all the extra shipping, but I am just soooo disappointed in the whole thing. BLAH.
 
oh i''m so sorry!!! that sucks! i''m sure things will be ok. make sure that if they doi not handle your situation well that you report it to both ebay and paypal (if you used them). At the worst, you''ll prob at least get your money back.

Albi, absolutely they are responsible for all the extra shipping, since it was their mistake. They need to reimburse you the amount you will spend to send it back to them, and then ship out the new one at no extra charge.

I've had different issues with ebayers lately - people advertising something as new in box and then the item comes and even the plastic insert has been cut open and then taped back into the box, clearly not new. When the seller tells me, "well, the refund is minus shipping charges" I reply, "well, since you misrepresented the item, you are responsible for the cost of me shipping it back to you and whaddayaknow - those charges are the same amount you charged me." In your case as well the seller made the mistake, so it is the seller's responsibility to make it right at no additional charge to you.
 
Oh dear, that really sucks. I''ve had a bad experience with Ebay too, so I know how you feel. I hope you can get the right one and that they will pay for the extra shipping!!
 
I just got an email from them and they apologized profusely and said of course they''ll reimburse me for shipping and send me the correct brooch as soon as they get this one back. So that makes me feel a little better.

Still not so pleased with the whole thing. But I bought myself the best chocolate cookie EVER (anyone know Jacques Torres??) to cheer myself up, so I''ll be okay! Plus the wedding isn''t for another 5 months so the extra time certainly shouldn''t be a problem.

What a bummer!

The one time I bought from ebay and was totally displeased with the merchandise, the vendor gave me a full refund, including a refund of the original shipping charges, which I thought I''d have to eat. I was really shocked and delighted. I think most of those vendors want to avoid any negative feedback written on the site, so they will try to accommodate customers.

I hope the real thing arrives quickly and that you love it!!
