Looking for a sapphire ring but getting conflicting advice about pricing...ring metal...on-line purchase vs. store

Looking for healthy size sapphire in yellow gold with diamonds on either side...number of jewelry store''s - recommendations on where to shop on-line and where to establish reasonableness of price????

The problem with sapphire pricing is that it can vary all over the place $1.00 for the cheapest synthetic to thousands of dollars a ct for the best non-treated stones.

What size? color? shape? and price range? are you looking for because that will determin the best places to look.

Also, in a shopping trip noted some nice items with a specific designers name (LeVian)...not bought to much jewelry in my life...didn''t even know there were "designers"...any thought on the particular one noted? Plus, other questions remain on where to shop, etc.
