Angeline, many apologies. I just saw your post from October! I''m a big help, I know. I was off of PS for a while and just recently started checking in.

Anyway, yes Collections is first rate, however, I just found out last night while googling their address for someone that they had a robbery around Halloween and lost a bunch of jewelry. The thieves spent 8 hours breaking into the safe. I had a Richard Landi platinum ring set with a round diamond from GOG on layaway, so I hope it is still there. I would think that if it was stolen, they would have called me by now. They did call me after this incident would have happened to tell me about another Richard Landi trunk show and made no mention of the robbery. I am anxiously waiting for 10 am to arrive as I am going to be on the phone asking about my ring.

I am so disgusted that this happened because they are super nice people. Shawna is my favorite salesperson there. I drove her crazy when I was looking for a setting for my Jubilee. I had her call every designer under the sun for price quotes, then ended up buying a Tacori set she already had in the case. She was extremely patient with me. I HIGHLY recommend them. I will let you know the update on the robbery situation once I talk to them.

Wow, this must be so hard to have everything in place with a great stone and great setting, and then have to start over is awful. I hope you and Collections the best in getting to the other side of this.

Oh my goodness! Did they also have your GOG diamond, already set?

DD, yes, the diamond was set already. The whole thing together was gorgeous. I can start over and recreate the ring or get a different diamond and setting or set another stone I have. I am going to pay them a visit to hash it out. They are very sweet people and are already in the whole $100K over the situation, even with insurance, but they want to make me happy.

Here's what I am thinking of doing instead. I have always wanted this Regent from GOG since I have a Jubilee in my wedding set. So I put this on hold temporarily: .63 Regent

I could have another setting made like the original, but I am also thinking about this one I tried on years ago. It is to cool with the sapphires and yellow gold detail. It would make a great right hand ring and I seem to remember that it was designed for a 5mm stone, which the Regent is:

Thanks for the heads-up re Collections, they did seem like great people, and had great prices, but in the end I went with another Van Craeynest. I''ll do a SMTR some time when I get better pics.

I adore that last setting with the sapphs and yellow gold, lovely combination. Good luck with whatever you decide!
