Can I get an opinion on this pink sapphire?

Tough to tell from the photo, but anyone willing to give input on desirability of this stone? Price is around $700, which was more than I had been planning to pay, but something about it just stole my heart and took my breath away.

1.25 ct, eye clean, heated 7 x 4.8mm

Love the color! But I'd have to see more pictures to determine if it is a keeper. The reflection on the table could be hiding a gaping window. I'd also need to know if it was berylium treated.

Thanks! The color seemed so unusual to me - I haven't seen any other stones this shade. Does anyone know of any for comparison? I have emailed the seller asking if there are more photos available.

Check out www.atggems.com.. They have some that are a similar color but their prices are much higher.

I've adored the one you've pictured but wondered why it's been available for so long. I know that it doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong with the stone.

Also, ATG has several stones that match your other search for a pinkish peach colored sapphire.

It looks like it is a purplish pink spinel. I thought the picture looks familiar and know who the vendor is. If he said the cut is excellent, then it is. No windows.

Check out the fancy sapphire to see some similar looking sapphires.

It's hard to tell the clarity and opacity of the stone from the photo, I imagine, is why...and why wants to gamble $700 on that :) I requested asking for more photos so hopefully they will be helpful.

Most vendors understand the need to view a stone in person, and will allow you return it if you don't like it. So, don't feel that you are permanently committing $700 without any recourse if you don't like the stone. The vendor in your first posting is a reputable dealer. (Yes, we can tell who it is, just from the style of the photo.) :))

Even so, with the available photos I'd not be ready to consider the purchase...and it will save much more time for both of us :)
