Can I get some advice on my CADs and airline size?

I’m sorry but I laughed out loud at your comment

Half a millimeter in my mind isn’t going to summon the alien ship, so you’re probably safe. I get what you’re saying though, it is so easy to overthink because PS (as wonderful as it is) has a tendency to make one extremely critical and it’s easy to get stuck in a loop.

Apart from the height, are you happy with everything else? So excited for you!

It’s funny because it’s true, lol.

I agree that it can’t be a substantial difference. That aside, I love the rest of it! I do agree that these forums can make you second guess every tiny detail and you can drive yourself insane worrying about it. I’m not sure what I’d do without this amazing resource with all these incredible bling lovers like myself, though. And thank you, I’m excited too!

I actually think a proposal may be on the horizon just from hints I’m getting. He conveyed very early on that I’m too picky and he would never buy me jewelry, so I’m not sure exactly what that looks like. Like, does he hand me an envelope of cash and tell me to order it and just start wearing it when it comes? Ya know? He does know I’ve been talking to David and got the wax models. He had to sign for them so I explained what I did and I’m pretty sure he thinks I’m nuts. Oh well….he chose me. Haha!

@michellelynn9175, maybe he figures when the ring arrives he will swoop in and snatch it and tuck it away for a proposal?! Well however it goes, it’s all very exciting.

Hey, I had toilet paper rolls stacked with my phone at the top trying to get a picture of the arrows in my diamond, so surely your FH can’t think you’re too crazy! Of course I did this when my husband wasn’t home

So is this it then? Off to production you think? Then comes the excruciating wait…..but it will all be worth it in the end.

Well I haven’t been given the go ahead to have it made yet. I’m either waiting for him to go behind my back and do it, or waiting for a proposal and then having it made.

Oh my gosh, I’ve done some crazy things like that too, like taking videos of all these rings and stones in my back yard and wondered “what if the neighbors saw me? What would they think?” And one time I dropped a stone and was crawling around in the grass trying to find it. Ridiculous.

I know it’s the busy season now, but how long did you have to wait for yours?

Oh gotcha, makes sense, that just adds another layer of excitement I think. I picked my original engagement ring out with my husband and then he bought it at a later date and proposed on Christmas. He was happy not having to actually pick a ring out and knowing it was exactly what I wanted.

Ahhh that is too funny, I think we have all done things that would look crazy to others. I also lost a ring outside and was on the ground with the kids trying to find it, even borrowed a metal detector, so I can relate!

I first reached out to him April 1st and I had my ring on May 13th, I’m going to say it was 2 weeks once I approved the wax to when I had it in hand, or perhaps on hand is more appropriate ;)

Well that's a much shorter turnaround than I expected! I'd have to ship my diamond to him as well, so that adds extra time, but I figured maybe 6-8 weeks to get it.

The more I think about it, the more I think I should just leave the basket height alone and trust the process.

@michellelynn9175, two moths is probably fair, hopefully missing the holiday rush will mean you won’t have to wait as long.

If it was me, I would leave it as is because I don’t think the difference will be obvious.

If this helps, attaching the CAD for the ring in the pictures that DK made. The height on this one from the finger is 7.15. Slightly higher than your ring CAD. But hopefully this will give you a bit of perspective since were talking about .3 mm difference.23B4B67E-CF6F-4A58-94F7-6C64844588FF.jpeg75CA24F0-D21E-4D15-B8D3-68606B556D7F.jpeg

This is actually incredibly helpful, thank you so much! I'm so visual that I feel like I have to have photos and drawings for comparisons before I can make a decision. I really think the height difference will be nominal and not worth adjusting after pouring over all the photos I can get my hands on. I also was concerned about losing details in the basket and this will hopefully eliminate that fear.

Side note: I have drooled over your ring over on SMTB. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! Wear it in good health!
