Both the idealscope and aset indicate that it does perform really well. Anything from WF's *A cut above* collection are well performing stones.

You don't use HCA on AGS Ideal cut because they have already been evaluated for light performance. HCA helps to identify the GIA Ex stones that would fall into ideal cut parameters.

That said, all ACA's are great and you really cannot make a mistake! H VS2 is a nice choice and I would go with this one!

What's your budget? And what size stone are you aiming for? Could you go down in color and clarity? Say to a J SI1?

ok cool.. now one more question for you women out there.. my budget is small.. unfortunately i dont make that much $$ and my hours were reduced at my work but would you be happy with a .563 or would it be too small.. i think i would rather get something super sparkly than something bigge with no pop.. by the way.. my girlfriend is not superficial at all..

also.. put it in a halo to look bigger or not??

I'd definitely consider either a halo, or a ring with some prong set diamonds on it.

For your budget, I'd seriously consider calling JD Jewelry and seeing what Yekutiel can pull out of the hat for you in terms well cut stones that maximize size without sacrificing cut quality.
