It is 2.04 ct. GIA measurements say 8.13 - 8.14 x 5.02 mm.
When I see 2 ct hand shot pictures on Pricescope or elsewhere they appear very big, but I'm the opposite.
How is that a 2 ct can look so shockingly small on my hands (4.5 fingers)? My setting is sort of low I guess does that make it look smaller?
Thank you for all your honest responses!
P.S. Goldfish8 - the settingn is 18k white gold with pave's and it's from my local jeweler's own creation (he said it was made in U.S.A.).
I also need to pick out a wedding band to go with this as my old band is channel set and doesn't really look right with this setting.
Any suggestions?
Yes, I think it's just the setting. 6 prongs generally make a round stone look fuller and bigger. It's an optical illusion. Obviously, a halo does the same. And high set settings also help. But trust me, your ring is beautiful and very blingy!
