Greg, seriously, that is a GREAT band. I LOVE it. But to tell you the truth, I love it most by itself. It ROCKS, no pun intended... ;) So happy you made this choice. It is perfect. :appl: :appl: :appl: Come back and tell us in a couple months how you like it!

And I just noticed that Rosebloom called it "sexy". I AGREE!!

Hi LLJsmom

It is great to have the ability to change it up a bit. I am so glad that it works with my trinity ring as well. it has only been a few days with the rings but i am pretty sure that i will wear it with the asscher 99% of the time with the eternity/solitaire combination not the solitaire/eternity combination.

I am pretty lazy when it comes to changing things up...but you never know. I will come back and let you know in a few months time!!!
ENjoy your carre eternity as well. I do LOVE the milgrain on yours!!!!!

Absolutely stunning!

Who made your eternity?

Alpha238= Diamond specialist in Sydney Australia made the ring.

Love it!! :appl:

Thanx msop04 and april238!!!

Love your rings! How do you keep the carre eternity clean? Do you stick it in an ultrasonic?

Greg,

You have inspired me to wear my mum's 6-stone carre band with my EC solitaire, just need to find the funds to re-size both rings to fit my middle right hand finger, and to get a spacer band to separate the two to avoid the band rubbing against the underside of the EC.

Thank you!!!

DK :))

Braga123, I have had the eternity now for 3 weeks and it still looks great! However, I do use an ultrasonic to keep my jewelry clean. I do it about 1x month.

DK - can't wait to see the result of the pairing!!!

LLJSmom- coming back to comment on the eternity. Still loving the eternity and as a set. I couldnt leave my Asscher at home :-(
Braga- i have not had it cleaned since i had it made. BAD, BAD PSer!!!!! I guess i would put it in the ultrasonic. but my fear is that these carres are tightly set against each other and the US may loosen then in the setting?????

i have been thinking of an upgrade the asscher to an Octavia.... just making enquiries at this time.

I haven't put mine in my ultrasonic, and I don't plan to! I don't think you should either.
As to the Octavia, I think it would look STUNNING in this combo!

THanx Braga... i have sent an email to the jeweller to see what is the best way to clean the eternity, tho i would hate to use the old toothbrush technique as it is time consuming!!!!! LOL

Thanx for enabling... ehheheheehe....

Greg I think an Octavia would be a stunning match with the eternity. Stunning!! Go for it!! I do throw mine in the ultrasonic... Bad girl, but clean ring!

LLJsmom how does your carres look now= have they moved in the setting? the reason is that i have seen some baguettes eternity on the second hand market that show the baguttes have moved and therefore not perfectly in line. Then again, that is on the second hand market so that COULD mean over a LONG period of time that the step cuts move...

That is my fear that over time, the carres will move in the setting. There is one carre that is ever so slightly lower set (need loupes to see it) than the others that i fear it will move.

thanx for enabling..... but a few more hoops to jump through before Octavia is on my finger. But i am also going to be happy if the octavia doesnt work out.

Got email back from my jeweller and she says that the eternity is ok for the US!

But the ring still looks clean... wonder what it will look like after????hehehehe

Oh, I love your eternity and if you haven't cleaned it yet, it's going to look RIDICULOUSLY sparkly when you do LOL   !!

Seriously though, I clean my rings almost daily (because I wear them every day) and I can see a difference if I let them go longer than 10-14 days or so without cleaning. Even though they're probably okay w/ Ultrasonic, I don't use one because I'm a little chicken when it comes to my sparklies.

I just soak 'em in hot water (w/ drop of Dawn) for a few minutes, lightly brush them, and then soak 'em in my homemade solution. Your ring looks great, so I hope you post more pics when you get a chance!!! :))

Hi Greg, my eternity looks fine to me. I sometimes don't think that the stones are perfectly lined up anyway, but it doesn't bother me that much. My eyes are so bad that I can't really tell. I figure that over the years, my rings will get some wear and tear. If it gets really bad, I'll just remake it, hehe, and add some other stones, or whatever.
