Cartier C ring - or not?

This silver (marked) ring has been in my family for 40 years, no one can remember how it came into our possession but I remember wearing it in my teens and calling it the Cartier ring.
From my brief research it seems to be based on a famous design which originally came in tri-tone gold. I'm assuming it's a silver copy of the original Cartier design as I don't believe Cartier made these rings in silver, only gold. I'd still like to know if it's potentially worth anything before I let my daughter wear it when she goes out, she had a tendency to lose things...

If it is not Cartier, I would assume it would be in the same price range as any other thicker sterling silver? However, if it is a family heirloom that I didn’t want lost, I would maybe try to find her another ring to wear instead of that one.
