Hi,

I have just received a Set-for-you Cartier solitaire. I was told that all Cartier diamond rings come with 1 or 2 hologram stamp on the underside of the band that looks like a small dent with a graphic on the inside. However, the ring I received does not have such stamp, and I was told by the sales that all Set-for-you rings ordered in the US are made in the US, and all rings made in the US does not come with such stamp.

I was told the hologram stamp is one way to authenticate a Cartier diamond ring. Does anyone have a Set-for-you by Cartier? If so, does it come with the hologram stamp? Thanks!

Hi Transformer,

I'm brand new to PS, but I'll tell you what I know. I received my Cartier engagement ring back in February and there were 2 hallmarks on the outside of the band. My FI told me that those marks mean it was made in France. So if it was made in the US it likely won't have them (one of them means it's platinum, but I'm not sure about the other one). On the inside of the band there is the Cartier logo, PT950, 51 (ring size), Copyright symbol, carat size of the diamond and the serial number for the diamond. I think the Cartier logo and the serial number would probably be the best way to authenticate that it was made by Cartier. I hope that helps.

Thank you.

Same thing for me, I have a set for you 1895 solitaire that was made in France and I have a hallmark outside the band (at the bottom).

It may be that the rings made in USA are slightly different to help identify them, I cannot see any other reason...the most important thing is to have the serial number engraved inside the band as well as the other marks described by Tanicha.

Hope this helps,
Frenchcut
