Cats think they own you, not the other way around.

I believe that Comet thinks the only reason I am on this earth is to give him what he wants, when he wants it. When he''s inside and I''m trying to do something, he will get upset until I give him the attention he wants. And how dare I pay attention to the birds or Wiggy (dog) in his presence.

Glad to heat it!!!

I definitely think that it''s really important to give kitty a real toy after the laser...it definitely leaves them frustrated!

The laser is the favorite toy around here. We have one that is on a keychain so all I have to do is pick it up and the cats appear out of nowhere. I swear, they can be in the middle of a nap 2 stories up, but if I jiggle it just a bit, boom... there they are!

Bill is especially obsessed with the little catnip puff balls. They are like the pom poms you do art projects with as a kid, but they are soaked in catnip and he just LOVES them. He throws them in the air, chases them across the floor, and unfortunately, often gets them stuck under the appliances in the kitchen. Luckily they are cheap! They would be cheaper if I made them myself, but whatever.... I''ve only been able to find them at Petsmart.

The trackball is getting a lot of play this week though. Seems they forgot about it but I threw some catnip on it and now it''s fun again. It''s the circle with the cardboard in the middle and the ball that goes around the circle. They play with it for hours, and it''s one of the few toys that I can play with them while they are using it... I hit the ball, they hit it back to me. Good fun.

Sumbride,
Can you post pictures or links to those 2 toys? I thought we had *every* kitty toy out there, but apparently we are missing a few, and we can't have THAT!

Thanks!

OH! Guess what the little nipper did?! He LOVES to root around in his little toy basket, getting toys out (he's not very good about putting them BACK, though!

), playing with them, etc. Well, I left my purse on the floor one night (and it's just an open top, no zipper, etc.)... and the next day at work I was looking for my glasses, and guess what I found in my purse?! HIS FAVORITE LITTLE MOUSE!!! Now, I do not think that was an ACCIDENT, I think the little sweetheart did that on purpose. How adorable is THAT?!!

A friend of mine uses the laser with her cats - they love it. I've never tried with mine. The thing I did buy recently, that the furball has FREAKED over, are these little tinsel balls. She goes ape-crazy over these things. I bought 2 packs of 6 and I can only find 3 of them. She carries them in her mouth with her wherever she goes...so I highly recommend these. Haven't found a single other toy in 10 years that she has loved even remotely as much as these. I found them at Pet Club.
Mine finds the tinsel balls "meh" even though the petshop owner assured me that my cat will love it. Mine likes the cheap non-store bought stuff like paper bags, empty boxes and my green houseplants. She is crazy about my torchlight though. She can stalk, leap and basically goes nuts for hours when I shine it on the wall or door.

That''s too bad. I sent a few packs of tinsel balls to my sister''s cat and my parent''s cats and all 3 have gone nutso over them as well.
