Ceaho, you have the Trade designation on your posts. While your stones are nice to see, if you are a Trade member, you are prohibited from showing stones here that you are trying to sell.

I asked Yvonne if she could find Russian demantoids at JCK to replace the center diamonds in this cluster ring that I bought preloved....on its way!

Introducing Big Blue...

Some of you may remember SparkliesLuver's big blue-green tourmaline.
I still can't believe it, but the heavens shined down upon me and SparkliesLuver reached out to see if I was interested in it. Of course, I'm no fool so I enthusiastically agreed and made that baby my own. :D
Big shout out to you, SparkliesLuver. You've made me happier than you could possibly imagine!

Here's the details again:
Origin: Afghanistan
Color: green-blue
Tone: pastel
Weight: 3.93cts
Dimensions: 9.02 x 8.99 x 7.71mm
Clarity: eye clean
Treatment: untreated

It's a little more pastel than the pictures show (this baby loves the camera).:P The name Big Blue actually came to me in a dream and it just felt right. Anyone else dream about gemstones?

Elle! This is amazing. Congrats with your stunning blue stone. What a beauty! Anxiously awaiting a group pic

You kill me Acinom. Group pic coming up.

At the request of theredspinel and the extra push from Acinom, here is a new group pic with my gems. I painted my nails for this so you better appreciate it . It was crazy hard to find a place for everyone..lol. A good problem to have, I think. :lol-2::mrgreen:

It's really humid outside today so the gems were sticking to my fingers. If you see any "inclusions" on the gems, it's most likely just my fingers coming through. Well, except for the paraiba tourmalines...those are included. :P

Starting from the top:
Pinky finger: mahenge spinel, mint tourmaline, baby pink tourmaline
Ring finger: paraiba tourmaline, "Jedi" spinel, chrysoberyl, purple garnet from Jeff White, paraiba tourmaline, Big Blue (aka: blue-green tourmaline)
First finger: peachy pink spinel pair, paraiba tourmaline, red-orange mahenge spinel, spess garnet, electric blue topaz from Doug Mendeau, purple garnet.

I really need to stop buying gems and work on setting them.o_O :P

Elle71125 What an awesome array of colors you have!!! And there is not one "meh" in the bunch there. All are just special in their own way. Jealous I am!

Oh My God. OH MY GOD. That's all I can say right now... omg!!!!

@elle_71125 - that is awesome!! Big blue is such a great color - in some ways he/she? reminds me of an aquamarine except more saturated and sparkly.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw him/her (Big Blue's gender has not yet come to the forefront). :D

Also in addition to the grey ascher or emerald spinel on my wish list, I know have to add a teal tourmaline and a purple garnet. Also all the skittles for earrings. Oh man you all are such a bad influence!

@elle_71125 It's out of this world. And thst includes your stunning rings, your nails snd the gorgeous stones that are waiting to be set.
I do appreciate this, but I have changed my mind: we need an Elle's gems thread with lots of pics.

Elle - such a beautiful family of gems!!!

Here is my 4 ct star sapphire and diamond ring from the Victorian era. It is set in 18k and probably WG. I really like it and it was $300! I thought that was a great price and I love the ring. It has a killer star but I need full sun to show it.

What a great find ilovegemstones! Beautiful.

Caysie has set my Barry tourmaline!!

Caysie's photos:

So elegant and shows off the tourmaline perfectly. Is Caysie an Etsy vendor, I don't recall that name? (I've been on PS only occasionally lately.)

I totally second acinom's suggestion of you defo need your own thread. I'd love to follow your gem adventures as they unfold lol. Oh and such big sizes too...

Your nails go beautifully with all the gems it takes the pic to perfection :P

You are so lucky. After I saw SparkliesLuver's tourmaline, I emailed Jeff and asked him if he had any stones in same colour. He told me he did not have stone with such saturated colour.

It's been a while since I posted, but my did I have a good time looking through all of your lovelies. :)

I got this sapphire ring from the summer sale at Heart of Water Jewels, I can't get enough of Pomme's rose carvings and have been watching this one since it was made.

Beautiful sapphire and engraving detailing @mariedtiger. Do you have more pics? It's stunning
