Elle! This is amazing. Congrats with your stunning blue stone. What a beauty! Anxiously awaiting a group picIntroducing Big Blue...
Some of you may remember SparkliesLuver's big blue-green tourmaline.
I still can't believe it, but the heavens shined down upon me and SparkliesLuver reached out to see if I was interested in it. Of course, I'm no fool so I enthusiastically agreed and made that baby my own.
Big shout out to you, SparkliesLuver. You've made me happier than you could possibly imagine!
Here's the details again:
Origin: Afghanistan
Color: green-blue
Tone: pastel
Weight: 3.93cts
Dimensions: 9.02 x 8.99 x 7.71mm
Clarity: eye clean
Treatment: untreated
It's a little more pastel than the pictures show (this baby loves the camera). The name Big Blue actually came to me in a dream and it just felt right. Anyone else dream about gemstones?

At the request of theredspinel and the extra push from Acinom, here is a new group pic with my gems. I painted my nails for this so you better appreciate it . It was crazy hard to find a place for everyone..lol. A good problem to have, I think.
It's really humid outside today so the gems were sticking to my fingers. If you see any "inclusions" on the gems, it's most likely just my fingers coming through. Well, except for the paraiba tourmalines...those are included.
Starting from the top:
Pinky finger: mahenge spinel, mint tourmaline, baby pink tourmaline
Ring finger: paraiba tourmaline, "Jedi" spinel, chrysoberyl, purple garnet from Jeff White, paraiba tourmaline, Big Blue (aka: blue-green tourmaline)
First finger: peachy pink spinel pair, paraiba tourmaline, red-orange mahenge spinel, spess garnet, electric blue topaz from Doug Mendeau, purple garnet.
This one shows the pastel color of Big Blue better.
My rings:
I really need to stop buying gems and work on setting them.
@elle_71125 - that is awesome!! Big blue is such a great color - in some ways he/she? reminds me of an aquamarine except more saturated and sparkly.

Here is my 4 ct star sapphire and diamond ring from the Victorian era. It is set in 18k and probably WG. I really like it and it was $300! I thought that was a great price and I love the ring. It has a killer star but I need full sun to show it.
Caysie has set my Barry tourmaline!!

You are so lucky. After I saw SparkliesLuver's tourmaline, I emailed Jeff and asked him if he had any stones in same colour. He told me he did not have stone with such saturated colour.
Thanks Acinom, sadly not yet. Still waiting for it.Beautiful sapphire and engraving detailing @mariedtiger. Do you have more pics? It's stunning
Happy waitingThanks Acinom, sadly not yet. Still waiting for it.

Thank you I'm a sucker for engraving, although it doesn't stand up to time very well.Mariedtiger- that is a stunning ring! I love the color of the sapphire and the engraving is so beautiful. Sigh......
