Hi does anyone know how much it costs roughly to change the bracelet on a Rolex? My husband has a Datejust in platinum jubilee bracelet. If he were to change it to the platinum oyster bracelet, how much would it cost? tia

From what I know of Rolex, you can''t just decide to change a bracelet if it''s not designed/offered that way. And you''d most likely have to hand in the old bracelet. I know that if you want to change out a dial with an official Rolex dial, you cannot keep the old dial, you must trade it in for the new one. There are so many Rolex rip offs/fakes that this is one way the try to maintain their integrity over their real product. So I''d guess they''d do the same for bracelets, again, so long as the bracelet you want is offered for the dial style you already have. You just need to go into a Rolex AD and ask them directly.

If you mean the watch is made of platinum, I''d think it would cost BIG bucks considering tiny little platinum settings cost $1000 or so!

Hi thanks for the responses. The bracelet style he wants to change into is offered for his style of watch, Datejust. and I''m sorry I made a mistake the bracelet is actually stainless steel, NOT platnum. Sorry about that. If anyone has any ballpark figures please let me know, just wondering if it''s worth considering. I live overseas and it''s hard to call a Rolex store in the US, and here in Japan they totally over charge everything. Thanks

They will change the bracelets but they do confiscate the old one. I was going to change my steel and gold a few years ago [the watch is from 1982 and the gold in the bracelet had "stretched" out]. I changed my mind when I found out that the new one was going to cost on the order of $6000 and that they would keep my old one!

How about emailing a Rolex dealer in the US?
